A daylong session, “Invocations to the Goddess — A Day of Renewal and Embodiment,” will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Shrine of Holy Wisdom, 4625 S. Ash Ave., Suite J-19, Tempe.
Organizer Joyce Carlson said it will feature meditative practices of body prayer, sacred dance movements and discussions on the “desert wisdom of the sacred names and phrases of power in the ancient Middle Eastern goddess traditions.”
