Like in any medical field, early treatment is important in ensuring results. So when should orthodontic treatment first be considered for children? According to Team Orthodontics' Dr. Danyluk, who closely follows the guidelines set by the American Association of Orthodontics, Phase I treatment for children should generally begin around age 7, when several permanent teeth in most children have come in. This allows Team Orthodontics to effectively evaluate a child's orthodontic condition.
Everyone knows the saying: “There’s no ‘I’ in ‘team.’” That’s never been truer than of Team Orthodontics, where the mission is simple: enhance patients’ lives in a positive and significant way. It’s a theme that runs through the veins of every Team Ortho employee.
In extreme cases of gum inflammation, periodontal disease, also known as gum disease, can form. This disease is considered more dangerous than gingivitis for a couple of reasons. First, it requires a more invasive treatment – sometimes to the point of gum surgery. Secondly, periodontal disease affects the bones that support the teeth.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) rates the relative quality of the private plans that are offered to Medicare beneficiaries through the Medicare Advantage program. CMS rates Medicare Advantage plans on a one- to five-star scale, the highest quality being five stars. This star rating provides an overall measure of the plan’s quality and is an indication of the quality of care, access to care, responsiveness, and beneficiary satisfaction provided by the Medicare Advantage plan. This means that the higher the star rating a plan receives, the more likely you are to receive the care you need, when and where you need it - and most of all, you are more likely to be satisfied with your plan.
If you have Medicare coverage, you are probably familiar with a time of year known as the Annual Enrollment Period. This is a timeframe, typically from mid-October to early December, when people who are eligible for Medicare can enroll in, disenroll from or change their Medicare Advantage plan for the upcoming year.

Teaching Chinese can be forced or presented in an unnatural way. We found a method of teaching behaviors, building upon a child’s natural curiosity, using hands on materials, teaching through multiple senses, and other fantastic philosophies in a pedagogy called Montessori. However, we couldn’t find an effective educational program in Arizona that teaches Mandarin Chinese. So Ling obtained a job at an International Montessori School in Hong Kong and we packed our bags and moved to Hong Kong.

1) The number of cremations annually are expected to surpass traditional funerals in the next 20 years. Those who are interested in cremation may now consider whole body donation. With whole body donation for medical research and training you are able to fulfill a person’s wishes but also leave a lasting legacy for future generations. Donation helps advance medicine for future generations. Cremation is necessary with whole body donation. Some folks want to do cremation for economic reasons. A traditional funeral and burial is more expensive. Also, often times, people cannot come together from all over the country for a funeral service. Body donation may be an economical, simpler option to consider.
1) Most people will qualify for body donations – even those with disease such as cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s etc. People often confuse whole body donation for medical research with organ donation for transplant. Organ donation has a different criterion. Whole body donation, which we offer, has a much broader acceptance criterion. We work to serve the needs of the medical community. Currently the main rule outs for donation are contagious disease or extreme obesity.

When kids know that we sincerely not only care for them but we sincerely care about things that are important to them motivation skyrockets! How can we show our sincere care about the things kids care about if we do not sincerely care about those things such as Dora the Explorer, Princesses, Spiderman, or fossils? Beginning with the end in mind just may be the key we need to unlock the door to this sincerity because our kids somehow know if and when we are sincere or not and insincerity does not motivate anyone. For example if we want our children to be motivated to behave well at a restaurant we may need to have a tea party with all their favorite characters the week before and model the desired behavior we want at the restaurant making the connection to how the characters behaved and how pleased we were with them. This seemingly silly or senseless time spend with our kids gives us a greater glimpse into their world and how they see the greater world we live in. This understanding and relationship building builds invites us into their world and gets us out of our world. When these two worlds unite the partnership is magical and children will be motivated to do many things that we may have thought were impossible for them. With this in mind if you have not done so already please take the time to Read the Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman . It is a life changing read that will help you keep your kids motivated. If you cannot commit to another book to read consider incorporating these five challenges into your kids life and get ready for greater parenting joy with a motivated child in tow…
1. Year of the Horse means “instant success” and is a symbol of the Chinese culture. The horse is a symbolism of war. During the Han Dynasty, China often engaged in warfare with nearby nomadic tribes. Those tribes had warhorses that often scared the opposing forces. China saw this tactic and decided to purchase their own warhorses from other nomadic tribes. Horses essentially were a symbolism of power, strength and intimidation.
What a great responsibility we have as parents to find a school where our children can enjoy being every day in addition to being safe and receiving the best possible education! The first thing to remember when we are touring/looking for a school is that we follow our instincts as parents having confidence that we can and will make the best decision for our children monitoring and adjusting as necessary each year and day as our lives and needs change. It is very important to brainstorm as a family what is important to you in a school before venturing out which will help you make the best decision the first time instead of school hopping which although is adventurous and brave and many times the right thing to do to find the right school for your child it is a consistent disruption to learning and most importantly relationship building and modeling the endurance needed to win life’s race. Knowing each child has a unique personality and brain structure it is critical to know and communicate your child’s needs openly and honestly so you can give your school of choice the opportunity to reciprocally respond with honesty in regards to being able to meet the needs of your family and each of your children with their varying needs and differences. Consider collaborating with your child and making a list of 5 of the things that are most important to you both in a school. This can serve as a tool for a team feel when or if the going gets tough or in a positive note you are basking in successes.
It’s a scary fact for many parents that Arizona is ranked 49th in the U.S. for its education system. Most parents are unsure of the alternative options that exist for their child’s education aside from expensive private schools or moving out of state.
