  1. article Stamper Brown: Is this what intolerance really smells like?

    Wednesday, May 8, 2013 8:00 am

President Obama’s new “religious tolerance” consultant to the Pentagon, Mikey Weinstein, wants Christian military service members who openly talk about their faith in uniform to be charged with treason, which is a crime punishable by death according to military law.

  2. article Stamper Brown: Where was God during the Boston Marathon?

    Wednesday, April 17, 2013 8:13 am

As the F.B.I. and Department of Homeland Security sift through the collateral damage in Boston, one thing is abundantly clear: it was an act of terrorism. Questions, like who is responsible and their motivation, remain to be determined. Along with those questions, one cannot help but ask where God is during events like this.

  3. article Stamper Brown: Obama administration -- Going Jack Bauer on us

    Thursday, February 14, 2013 8:03 am

The Obama administration seems to have gone Jack Bauer on us, which would be okay if we were just talking about non-American enemy combatants on some far-flung battlefield. It seems the administration danced its way around case law and the Constitution in an attempt to justify the assassination of three American citizens it refuses to acknowledge it had any part of, post execution.

  4. article Stamper Brown: All the Presidents’ Women

    Thursday, January 31, 2013 7:59 am

At least Romney had binders. Binders full of qualified women to fill cabinet positions, that is. Democrats mercilessly pounded Romney for the binders comment he made during the 2012 presidential campaign, but I’ll bet the Obama campaign now wishes Romney had passed the binders on to Obama since it seems he’s having a hard time picking women to fill his second term cabinet positions.

  5. article Stamper Brown: Will 2013 be the year we slow the moral decline?

    Tuesday, January 1, 2013 7:00 am

With dark shadows of uncertainty descending upon the hearts of so many at the conclusion of 2012, one can only hope 2013 will be a year of promise. But even in these dark days, miracles do still happen, especially when people are willing to roll up their sleeves for the cause of freedom.

  6. article Brown: Unholy trio -- Gun control, the UN and Obama

    Friday, November 23, 2012 7:00 am

Welcome to President Obama’s second term, America — that special place where ridiculousness replaces raison d’etre, and presidents give us things like gun control a’ la United Nations.

  7. article Stamper Brown: 7.8 percent unemployment is nothing to brag about

    Thursday, October 11, 2012 5:23 pm

If the federal government was meant to create jobs, it would have created a surplus of them by now, and unemployment would be far below 7.8 percent -- considering the exorbitant amount of money the Obama administration has, as it says, “invested” to do so.

  8. article Stamper-Brown: Ground Zero Changes No One Should Believe In

    Wednesday, September 12, 2012 8:12 am

Life is messy and full of unexpected twists along the way leaving even the most obsessive control freaks among us feeling a bit undone, considering so much of the change introduced into our lives is rarely invited and not always good.

  9. article Stamper Brown: The futility of gun control

    Monday, July 30, 2012 9:03 pm

"A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." — The Second Amendment

  10. article Brown: Obamacare -- Lies, mistruths, falsehoods and fabrications

    Saturday, July 7, 2012 7:10 pm

Legalization of something does not necessarily make it a good idea. It was once legal to own a slave. Democrats who voted against abolishing slavery in 1864, have been doing their part ever since to enslave Americans to one social program or another. Obamacare is just the latest example.

  12. article Stamper Brown: Dumbing down the American dream

    Thursday, April 26, 2012 9:29 am

Young Americans received unwelcome news this week when an April 23 AP report found 53.6 percent of college graduates under the age of 25 are jobless or underemployed, and there is little hope for improvement in the near future. This news is grim for young Americans as well as an administration in reelection mode.

  13. article Stamper Brown: Trayvon Martin's death signals deeper problems

    Thursday, March 29, 2012 3:02 pm

The justifiable outrage over the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla., should give all Americans reason for pause. How could an unarmed young man carrying a bag of Skittles threaten gun-carrying neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman, who was almost twice Martin’s weight?

  14. article Stamper Brown: Voter ID laws protect electoral process

    Tuesday, March 13, 2012 5:41 pm

In an attempt to alleviate rampant voter fraud discovered in previous elections, the state of Texas passed a new voter ID law in 2011, which the U.S. Justice Department (DOJ) brazenly blocked on Monday because it claims the law would disenfranchise minority voters.

  15. article Brown: Obama owes the military an apology

    Tuesday, February 28, 2012 5:10 pm

Forgiveness is a discipline that transcends cultures and bridges many divides when words fail. Without it, the world would look like the chaotic mess that is Afghanistan these days, where an alleged Quran burning by the U.S. military supposedly inspired deadly riots and the murder of U.S. troops.

  16. article Stamper Brown: Merry Christmas, welcome home and job well done

    Thursday, December 22, 2011 12:02 pm

Surrounded by the protection of barbed-wire fences and cement barricades, the United States Forces — Iraq flag was furled for the last time during an unpretentious ceremony in Baghdad on Dec. 15. It has been a long nine years. At the war’s onset in 2003, troops were promised the only way to return home was through Baghdad. Nine years, two administrations, and multiple tours later — with mission finally accomplished — troops are headed home to celebrate Christmas.

  17. article Stamper Brown: More agents but less secure northern borders

    Tuesday, November 1, 2011 10:58 am

Somewhere out there on America's northern borders, security patrol agents are showing up to work, grabbing a newspaper, and positioning their vehicles to gaze across one of the Great Lakes, so they can enjoy a scenic view while they work the daily crossword puzzle -- on our dime.

  18. article Stamper Brown: Meddling in Africa

    Tuesday, October 18, 2011 10:58 am

The response to President Barack Obama’s Oct. 14 announcement that U.S. military boots were on the ground in Africa to assist in another “overseas contingency” “non-war” operation in Africa is another example of the left’s ever-evolving definition of war based upon which political party is in control.

  19. article Stamper Brown: Young Americans want traditional values

    Tuesday, October 11, 2011 7:00 am

Appearances can be deceptive. In this age of open disclosure and the Internet, one would think we have access to all knowledge, but we don’t. We are still at the mercy of those in charge of providing any given piece of information. Unless we are satisfied with the lop-sided information being spoon-fed to us by those having an agenda, it is up to us to do our own digging for the truth.

  24. article Counterpoint: The truth about budget debate, Medicare

    Thursday, July 21, 2011 3:30 am

If indeed the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, President Obama and his cohorts in the Democratic Party must be feeling the heat on their backsides on the eve of the Cut, Cap and Balance (CCB) vote.

  31. article Obama campaign swimming in questionable donor funds

    Wednesday, May 11, 2011 4:04 pm

President Obama had a busy week. After helping to eliminate the world's No. 1 terrorist, Obama switched gears to focus on raising a record $1 billion in campaign contributions. Rather than capitalizing on bin Laden's demise by using an event to rally allies in a focused campaign to finish the job to root out bin Laden's more notorious associates -- Obama is rallying supporters to donate their capital so he can build up his campaign war chest. First things first.

  32. article Holder reveals his true colors

    Friday, March 11, 2011 3:45 am

The 2008 presidential election was supposed to usher in a utopian post-racial America where race no longer has a seat at the table of national affairs; A place where once for all, Americans would have equal justice under the law. But, I guess we'll have to wait.
