“A football field is 100 yards long. If the public address speakers are placed in the center and/or at the end of the field, that means that they need to be heard for only 50 yards. Why is it that we have to listen to the blaring noise when we’re having dinner on our patio, nearly a mile from the field? Inquiring and annoyed minds would like to know.”

“Thanks to the fed tax credit extension, new home sales are up by as much as 20 to 25 percent, according to one builder. So, why shouldn’t developers pay a proportionate amount in impact fees to cover the increasing cost of water, sewage, parks, roads, schools, fire and police protection? Why should economically strapped cities bear the burden of growth while builders and developers get to keep the cash?”

“So (President Obama) continues to procrastinate in sending more troops (to Afghanistan) while our soldiers are in harm’s way. Had he sent those troops when requested approximately two months ago, one of those support troops might have prevented one soldier who was there from being killed.”
