Not much is known about the background of Pooka, a 7- to 8-month-old mixed breed pup. She was found as a stray with no ID, and her owner couldn't be located.

Pooka weighs 35-40 pounds, and the folks at Arizona Friends for Life think she might have some Jack Russell or Samoyed in her. They've also discovered that Pooka is sweet, friendly and playful. She loves being around other dogs, but they're not sure how she would be around cats. Pooka has some "puppy mouthiness," so it's probably best that she not be with kids younger than 5. It's unknown if she is house-trained or crate-trained. And, she does just fine in the car but could use some leash training.

Pooka has been spayed and micro-chipped, and she is up to date on her vaccinations. She is living in a foster home, so contact Friends for Life at (480) 497-8296 if you would like to meet her. Information: www.azfriends.org.
