It's hard to imagine anyone dumping sweet Reebok, a senior female shepherd, but that's how she was found, abandoned and alone, before being brought to Gilbert's Friends for Life Animal Rescue. The folks at the shelter say Reebok has had a hard life and needs someone to show her love and affection.

And yet, in spite of all she's been through, Reebok is friendly, trusting and outgoing. She walks great on a leash and rides well in the car. She loves to eat and knows the commands "sit," "shake," "lay down," and "roll over." And if she doesn't think you've paid her enough attention, she'll nudge her nose under your arm until you pet her.

Reebok is house trained, and volunteers say she is very well behaved, understands rules and is the "perfect housedog" when staying at their homes. Someone with a laid-back lifestyle would make an excellent companion for this sweet dog.

Reebok is spayed, current on vaccinations and microchipped. If you'd like to meet her, contact Friends for Life at (480) 497-8296 or visit www.azfriends.org online.
