Bringing a rescue pet into a new home often gives the animal the love and attention they’ve so lacked in their prior situations. In the case of Jack, an 11-year-old terrier mix, the opposite may well be true.

When Jack’s previous owner, who adopted him from RESCUE in 2004, found himself facing foreclosure, bankruptcy, divorce, and longer working hours, he made the ever-difficult decision that would ultimately be in Jack’s best interest — finding him a new home.

An affectionate guy with a rugged look, Jack enjoys relaxing on a calm day or an excursion to the dog park. Walks are also high on his list of favorites, and he does well in the car, too.

Jack is housebroken and dog-door trained, and does fine on his own or with other friendly dogs.

For more information on Jack, call RESCUE (Reducing Animal Euthanasia at Shelters through Commitment and Underlying Education) at (480) 598-9410, or visit www.azrescue.org. All adoption fees include spaying or neutering, and some inoculations.
