Luck was with Hank, a 5-year-old shepherd/Shar Pei mix, the day he was found wandering out and about on his own: He just happened to be roaming in a neighborhood where a volunteer for Friends for Life animal rescue lives. Now the shelter has taken him in and is helping him find a new home since his owners were never found.

Calm, sweet and affectionate, Hank gets along well with other dogs, but Friends for Life is unsure if he is good with cats. The rescue group also is unsure if he is house trained. But good-natured Hank is very eager to please.

Hank has been neutered, micro-chipped, and is current on all his vaccinations. he lives at the Friends for Life adoption center in downtown Gilbert. If you'd like to meet Hank, contact Friends for Life at (480) 497-8296 or visit www.azfriends.org.
