“Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan would create a heavy burden on the middle class and the poor if it became law. In fact his 9-9-9 plan would have alot of people dialing 9-1-1.”

“In Wednesday’s vent, someone wrote: ‘Fact Check: America is a Christian country, that was founded on Christian principles.’ Wrong. This is what John Adams had to say on the subject in 1811 in a letter to Benjamin Rush, co-signer of The Declaration of Independence and a Universalist: ‘The government of the United States of America in not in any sense founded on the Christian religion — as it has itself no character of enmity against the law, religion or tranquility of Musselmen.’ I would trust Adams’ opinion before that of any modern-day Christian.”

“Social Security’s expenditures: About 45 million people in the United States — one in seven in the country — receive Social Security benefits. Individuals are required to take their Social Security payments at age 70 1/2 whether they need the money or not, which (with no option) includes the wealthiest Americans at that age. Many well-off individuals should have the option to not receive that money to aid Social Security.”
