“Old Sparky, new Sparky ... the dude’s about as handsome as Mitch McConnell.”

“Here’s yet another tip for employers to help end unemployment: Hire the applicant who has been unemployed/underemployed/temping/doing contract work the longest. They’ll be the most grateful and the most loyal.”

“How sad: Animal abuse at the Lehi rodeo this weekend — kids chasing chickens, a greased pig being chased, money duct-taped to a goat with kids chasing it. You say it’s fun for the kids, but not at the expense of helpless animals. Teach your kids to respect animals, not abuse them.”

“Tax deductions for yachts and private jets is far more important than national secutity. If their was another terrorist attack on this country we could put together an armada of yachts like the world has never seen, and they would all be heading for the Cayman Islands.”

“Supreme Court (Associate) Justice (Antonin) Scalia assured our country that voter supression and racism is very much alive, with his entitlement remark. The voting rights act became law to protect the minorities of the past. Justice Scalia should open his eyes. This same law will protect his vote when old white men become the minority of tomorrow.”

“It is hilarious that libs still believe there is any such thing as ‘special tax loopholes’ for sending jobs overseas. That false belief only reinforces the fact of how truly ignorant most Dems are about business. There is no loophole. The fact is wages outside the U.S., due mostly to irresponsible unions, are much cheaper overseas. This means that in order to remain competitive U.S. businesses must reduce costs by outsourcing.”

“Jodi Arias and her attorneys are making a mockery out of the justice system. Why do people need to hear every sordid detail of her relationship with her boyfriend. She has admitted killing him, but is blaming him, testifying that he was abusive, and that she killed him in self defense. Seriously, she stabbed him 27 times, shot him, and slit his throat and then didn’t even call the police. That doesn’t sounds like self defense to me.”

“President Obama said that one of the choices of sequestration is between starving poor children or hurting handicap children.

What would happen if we had avoided sequestration? The federal government (not the taxpayer, or the conservatives) would have added more financial burden that those ‘poor’ children would face when they become taxpayers!”

This same law will protect his vote when old white men become the minority of tomorrow.

Yeah, right. Minorities are constantly redefining words to ensure they maintain their victim status: Racism? You have to be white first. Minority? You have to control all the power and money before you are no longer a minority, even if you are over 50% of the population.

Vent #1: The new Sparky looks even more sinister.

Vent #2: Hire those that haven't collected unemployment. It's seem those that collect unemployment work only long enough to qualify for more unemployment.

Vent #3: The liberal/progressive/socialist mind believes anything they are told. LOL

Vent #4: Voter suppression? What a laugh, who got re-elected and by how many votes. What voter suppression? How about some voter responsibility to provide ID when voting.

Vent #5: Liberal/progressive/socialists believe anything they are told by their masters.

Vent #6: Sex sells and the more salacious the bigger the sales.

Vent #7: The president is picking up a lot of "Pinocchios" lately.

Vent #8: The president and the democrats are only interested in blaming the republicans for everything so they can win control on congress in 2014. They don't care about the deficit or debt, that's someone else's problem down the road.

    #1-??
    #2-How very droll...
#3-Were any animals actually harmed, or did the "pig whisperer" just say they were traumatized? If you want kids to respect animals, make them take care to not hurt them, while having fun with them...
#4-Ok, I don't get the comparison, or why you're picking on yachts, but yes, money talks and BS walks
#5-It doesn't take Scalia to see that racism is alive, and voter suppression begins with political parties, who control the voting process, rather than the other way 'round.
#6-Tax loopholes aside, business didn't decide to outsource, because of unions. They did so out of greed, and the shift from offering qualtiy products, to offering inflated stocks, to their investors. Unions are just a convenient scapegoat for the push toward One World government, via the global economy.
#7-Another case of Life mimicking Art...or, Reality stranger than fiction...
#8-Is there a point here? What sequestration is, is arbitrary funding cuts, at just about the worst time, economically speaking. It's shooting a harpoon at the white whale, while the ship goes down. How long can you tread water?

Actually, the "tax loopholes" for overseas business is used to allow US companies to compete in markets where countries (like China) subsidize their businesses. If you have an additional overhead of 15% versus your competitors, you're going to fail.

UNFAIR TAX PERKS FOR FINANCIERS: It's time to raise the carried-interest tax, millions of hedge- fund managers and financiers take advantage of low tax rate on their profits, essentially reaping a tax payer-subsidized fee for managing their clients money. Such income is taxed at a capitol-gains rate of 20% barely half the significantly higher ordinary-income tax rate that apply to the wealthiest Americans. No other high-earning gets this benefit-not surgeons, lawyers, stock brokers, or celebrities. By closing these LOOP HOLES, our leaders could take in an extra $11 billion a year in needed tax revenue, playing to both Republicans' disdain for government handouts and Democrats' love of social justice.

“Offshore tax loopholes hurt domestic businesses, large and small, as well as individual taxpayers who must shoulder the extra tax burden through higher taxes and and endure massive cuts to public services,” said Nicole Tichon, Executive Director of Tax Justice Network USA and a co-founder of the FACT Coalition. Washington, February 11th – “America has a tax code riddled with costly loopholes that lets large companies and wealthy individuals use accounting tricks to shift income to offshore tax havens like the Cayman Islands. Microsoft has saved nearly $7 billion off its U.S. tax bill since 2009 by using loopholes to shift profits offshore, a Senate panel said in a report released Thursday Closing these loopholes should be an obvious first step to lessen our budget woes at both the state and federal levels: Ending tax haven abuse would not only offset this year’s $85 billion federal sequestration cuts; it would also generate enough revenue to bridge the $1.4 billion New Jersey state revenue gap.
THE PROBLEM WITH THE FAR- RIGHT, TEA PARTY THEY DON'T KNOW THEIR LOOP- HOLES

Bluepoet...your comment on #6...What tax loopholes are you puting aside? There are none.
Business don't outsource due to unions....they outsource to stay in business. Three things keep businesses going...product quality, service and price. You don't need all three but it helps.
    "One World Government".....really???????

PatrioticPerson, Yes, tax loopholes aside--as in, I don't know whether there are or not, and it doesn't really matter, to me, because outsourcing is clearly a profit-making venture, for investors and CEOs...and, it's clearly bad for, you know, just about everyone else...

One World Government--did I stutter?!! Continue to delude yourself, if you like...it really isn't as big a leap as you probably think...

Bluepoet, Outsourcing may be the option that a company needs to take in order to remain.....in business. PROFIT is not a 4 letter word. How many businesses do you know that don't make a profit that are still in business?
How can it be bad for "just about everyone else" when it keeps the companies product price competative?

It's bad because it not only takes money away from our own economy, in the form of unpaid taxes, wages, and tariffs, it sets a false standard of living for those who must take these jobs, at any wage, just to stay alive. It's called indentured servitude!
Profit is not a four-letter word, thanks for pointing out the obvious. However, profit at what cost?
It may be an option a company needs to take, but it needs to not be an option at all...that can only be done through law makers (oh, my, government intervention in free markets!). Otherwise, the income gap continues to widen, until there is no middle class in this country. Is that the ultimate aim, to bring jobs back, when enough people will be desparate enough to work for the company store, again, at any wage, and they will LIKE it...and, so will their kids, again! Utopia!!
