“Just heard on the news there’s a threat against NFL stadiums. Well, the Cardinals won’t have to worry. They play in a university stadium.”

“Dirty bombs at football stadiums? October surprises? Keep that terror level up there. We don’t want to feel secure.”

“I don’t think I’ll be putting any more night deposits in ATMs.”

“Barry Hess and the other Libertarians just don’t get it. The government telling me that I cannot kill or abort an inconvenient, expensive baby is the same as the government telling me that I cannot kill my noisy neighbor, no matter how tall his grass gets or how much he hurts my property value.”

“Literally, every candidate for office has illegal signs crowding (street) corners. That makes voting a joke. No wonder we have so many crooked politicians in office today.”

“Two weeks ago, I promised myself I would not vote for anyone who called with a recorded message or anyone with a TV ad mudslinging against his opponent. I just realized there’s no one left to vote for. Now what do I do?”

“Let’s see, a 3.3 percent pay raise from my Social Security and $5 from my Medicare, I net out at $1.72. I don’t need any more pay raises, please, (I) can’t afford them.”

“I could swear those happy cows from California are stoned.”

“It’s hard to believe that our secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, would have the nerve to say that since North Korea has shunned the international community, it should be isolated. Did not the U.S.A. shun the international community, including the United Nations, when we invaded Iraq?”

“How can Condoleezza Rice offer full military defense of Japan when we are policing so many different countries?”

“On Tuesday, the president signed into law the right for him to decide who is an unlawful enemy combatant. It applies to citizens and noncitizens alike. It is up to him to decide if you go to jail, forever.”

“This Bush administration is destroying our military forces by sending more Marine reserves in the next few days to Iraq. They are all just getting blown up. There is no sense to this whole military operation.”

“Ever since Vietnam, when the war protesters made America lose the war, terrorists know if they turn up the heat, we’ll leave. My Marine served two tours in Iraq and wanted to go back a third, but was injured.”

“People will still be calling into the Vent about President Bush six years from now because you liberals will continue to blame him for everything you don’t like.”

TALKING POINT

“Wow, Arizona is ranked lowest in schools in the United States. And here’s Janet Napolitano saying she was the education governor. What a joke. If anyone votes for her, they are voting for their own stupid kids.”
