"Heard State Sen. Steve Yarbrough comment that we ‘have to take the bitter with the sweet' in going to a flat tax system. Sure, the wealthy take the sweet and the rest of us take the bitter! Rep. Steve Court claims that ‘it's not going to be any excessive tax increase,' and I'm sure that it won't be; for him. imagine the number of conflicts the u.s. would be involved in if john mccain had been elected president. when the only tool you own is a hammer, everything looks like a nail...

Wdgnas,
Pound on, pound on. You appear to have the vision most of our fellow Arizonan's lack!
First Venter:
I have given the readers on this site my priority list of budget cuts. It starts with the biggest sacrid cow of all, the cow who controls the barns of most all politicians who fear a 2nd Chicago fire on their choosen profession. The cow is called Defense Spending. "Beware of the military-industrial complex," said Ike. He got it right. So Venter, give us your list of sacrid cows! Put up or shut up! Mrs. O'Leary is waiting!
Second Venter:
These may be registered and party bread Republicans, but they are either loss of sight Tea Partiers or Neo-cons or both.
Third Venter:
"Zero" would be my guess! Let's listen Monday and see how President Obama defends himself. My view is that his "Cairo" speach helped trigger the Egyptian revolt which triggered others from Morocco to Bahraine, and the President had no cover. At least we are not "making the planet safe for democracy." "No boots on the ground" is likely to be his defense against claims of violating the War Powers Act. This defense seems thin, but lets see how it flies!
Fourth Venter:
No doubt someone is trying. But don't hold your breath! Where do you stand on the Libyan no-fly-zone? I'm conflicted!

Rest easy Dale W. This should make you happy people are already losing their jobs because of defense cuts, and by the sounds of things it's going to get worse. Just curious what are your expert recommendations for cutting the defense budget?
