“We don’t realize how lucky we are to live here. My uncle called me from Chicago and said it’s was so cold there that he saw a lawyer with his hands in his own pockets.”

“If it is not PC to target kids with tobacco ads why is it PC to allow the continued existence of MTV after they started airing ‘Skins.’ This is the problem with when you allow liberals to judge our morality. They get all discombobulated.”

“How is Mesa Public Schools planning to trim administrators’ positions and funding?”

“It is past time for all state and federal government leaders to be honest and upright. It is time for state governments and the federal government to be honest about where taxpayer money is going. It is time to publish and make readily available to the public, state and federal government budgets. It is time to stop all closed door negotiations. It is time to stop all pork barrel spending! It is time for dishonesty, corruption, and greed to Stop.”

“As the parent of a high school student and a former Honors English major and college composition instructor, I was aghast to discover that my daughter’s English class is not required to actually read classics like ‘Huckleberry Finn’ or ‘The Great Gatsby;’ rather, they memorize what their teacher tells them about these books, or they see films made from these books. Parents: Please insist that your child actually reads these books for him/herself.  Don’t settle for a dumbed down educational system.”

“The anti-gun crowd wasted no time jumping on the Tucson tragedy and Sheriff Dupnik led the charge. Well people, take a look around the world and see just how easy it is for a deranged individual who is set on killing to get ‘the job done’ without a single bullet fired. This from Wikipedia: ‘The 2010 Chinese school attacks were a series of uncoordinated mass stabbings, hammer attacks, and cleaver attacks in the People’s Republic of China beginning in March 2010. The spate of attacks left at least 21 dead and some 90 injured.’ Anti-gunners, don’t feel safe in Arizona? Move to a country where gun ownership is strictly forbidden, like China. You’ll be so much safer.”

“If the Tucson shooting is going to be used as a reason to examine the first and second amendment, I think that the mental heath effects of pot on unstable pot smokers should be looked into also. The small amount of information released about the suspect shows that after his alcohol poisoning in 2006, he turned to a more healthy self-medication, pot. There are many studies that show a link between the the use of marijuana and suicidal thoughts and schizophrenia in some smokers of pot. Good thing that proposition on ‘medical marijuana’ passed.”

“Can somebody please explain to me how smoking pot will help people with so-called chronic pain? Last I heard, smoking will do nothing more than kill you faster.”

“Evergreen Solar, which received 58 million from Massachusetts, announced it is closing and laying off 800 U.S. Workers. Its China operation will remain open. How are those Obama ‘Green Jobs’ working for you now America?”

“Please raise my taxes. It will not hurt me or change my spending habits. I don’t want to live in a state with a 3rd world economy run my anal retentives.”
