"Girls be careful if you date a lawmaker; they passed a law that they could not be arrested, so they are above the laws they pass. They can beat you and not be arrested. You are a legal punching bag for these almighty people and lawmakers."

"Linda Abbott, Dave Crozier and Les Presmyk cost Gilbert taxpayers millions when they forgot to get appraisals on property that Gilbert bought. They also forgot to apologize."

"To Flagless: We fly our flags for love of country, not based on who is in the White House."

"How come we don't here about sheriff Joe? Is he still around?"

"This is to the idiot who compared the cost of gas to printers ink. Do you need ink to drive your car to work?"

"To all liberals and conservatives: Keep up the name-calling and the blame games and when the United States no longer has a middle class you just might realize how you've been duped. The difference between a third world country and an industrial nation is how the wealth is distributed."

    First Venter:

There is a huge difference between not being subject to being arrested with probable cause for having violated a law and not being subject to that law. But you still may have a good point! No law maker would like to spend the night in Sheriff Joe's holding tank!

    Second Venter:

Politicians don't apologize. It play too well against them at re-election time.

    Third Venter:

Perhaps "we" should fly the flags of other countries, too. We had better "love" some of them too. Do you have a flag from Saudi Arabia?

    Fourth Venter:

Sheriff Joe is keeping a low profile. He's under investigation!

    Fifth Venter:

Not sure why he made that comparison. Perhaps he was comparing our dependence on crude oil and our need to get around with our dependence on printer's ink and our need to spout off in the news paper. But what ever his point was, you and I missed it!

    Sixth Venter:

Amen. At least you got the point!

Thats an old law, been around for at least 30yrs.or more. The law maker can still be charged, and arrested later,if there are grounds for it. He just can't be kept from his duties as a legislator while the house,or senate are in session. Nothing new here. And if he was arrested,he would most likely be released on OR. Ya thunk?

Vender’s question: "How come we don't here about sheriff Joe? Is he still around?"
    ---------------------------------------

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is still sheriff, and spoke at the Tea Party American Policy Summit in Phoenix last weekend.

He stated that he will not run for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Jon Kyl.

"I don't report to any bureaucrat. I report to 4 million people," Sheriff Joe told the Tea Party Patriots. "I'm only as good as the people who support me think I am."

By the way, it's "hear" not "here."

    Retiree2000,

Whether Sheriff Joe is here or there, he is still keeping a low profile.
