“Where in our Constitution does it say that every citizen is entitled to health insurance from the federal government? Did you vote to include yourself and your family in the public option you voted for? Or, did you vote to exempt yourself?”

“As an extension of (Linda) Turley-Hansen’s logic (‘Federal land closures trample social fabric,’ Perspective, Sunday) let’s pave a road up to the top of Mount Everest because most of us can’t climb it. And to heck with all those pesky endangered species losing their habitat to fossil-fuel vehicles.”

“Just as the D.C. sniper was a terrorist, so is the Fort Hood killer. Their actions were planned to create terror to make political/religious statements. To deny he is a terrorist is to invite another 9/11, just as (President Bill) Clinton did in denying the first World Trade Center bombing was a terrorist act.”
