“If President Obama wants to score points with Republicans and avoid another debt crisis, stop borrowing money from China and borrow from the Cayman Islands. That way most lawmakers could draw a paycheck and interest from the American people. They could call it The Grand Cayman Bargain. I would sleep better knowing American tax dollars went to an American politician to buy cocaine than a communist from China to buy American jobs.”

“In response to the Venter who wrote about the abuse of food stamps/food banks, I concur. From my own knowledge and experience, two neighborhood families, two adults each family, draw food supplies from a local food bank. They are issued more than they could ever consume before it spoiled; they often bring home two or three large cartons of supplies. Subsequently, they share it with others in the neighborhood, none of whom require stamps or food bank handouts. Hence, after many years of supporting food banks, we no longer do so.”
