“I think if the city of Mesa and Metro want to take Willie Wong’s land that’s been in the family for over 100 years and Grunnell’s Tire & Auto for a park-and-ride lot, then they should step up and pay full price and then some. The last thing the city needs is another Bailey’s Brake Shop fiasco. Will the city do the right thing? Stay tuned folks.”

“Can we impeach Jan Brewer?”

“The thing that has been ignored by the media about the ‘Occupy’ crowd is the underlying anti-Semitic element that is helping to drive the movement. There are signs all over the place blaming Jewish people for many of their complaints.”

“President Obama has called ‘E pluribus unum’ the national motto. And then, rebuked the House of Representatives for going ahead and passing a bill reaffirming ‘In God We Trust’ as the national motto that can be displayed in all public schools and government buildings.”

chatmandudu ... as for Venter #2 isn't recall to get rid of a politican some people don't like exactly what they are doing with Pearce?

Why should the Governor be immune?

If a person has a lengthy time left in office, then recall is indeed the best way to get rid of them. Impeachment requires the co-operation of the Legislature and when they are of the same party as the person being impeached it makes it impossible. So the only avenue open is recall which the Legislature cannot prevent.

Vent#1: No the same "eminent domain" as Bailey's Brake Shop. This is from private to public use.

Vent#2: Why impeach Gov Brewer? For what? Oh course you might be like Dale, who believes recall is the best way to get rid of politicians you don't like.

Vent#3: Yes there are several reasons that the OWS people are demonstrating. I can list all the participants in one quick sentence. Liberals/progressives/socialists/communists/anarchists/unionists/ant-Semitic/bums/wackos/mentally-ill/disenchanted and the ubiquitous 99%ers.

    Vent#4: I sure don't trust in Obama.

1ST VENTER... there is a major difference in the two situations.

The city was taking Bailey's Brake shop to give the land to another PRIVATE business.

Taking land for the transit system and affiliated uses is taking it for PUBLIC use.

Unless the parking lot is going to be a privately owned and run operation.

I just did a quick search and couldn't find a news story about this.

Forth Venter: …..”reaffirming “In God We Trust” as the national motto that can to be displayed in all public schools and government buildings.”

Why not? “In God We Trust” has been used on U.S. currency since the 1860s and it was officially adopted as the national motto in 1956.

"In God We Trust" is plastered on every dollar bill and coin, but it has faced several court challenges because of the use of "God." So, the House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to reaffirm our national motto, “In God We Trust.”

For now, “In God We Trust,” the American flag, are symbols of our heritage and will remain as symbols for what our nation was founded upon.

    First Venter:

Stay Tuned, you bet'ya. Keep us informed.

    Second Venter:

We can try. But recall would be more appropriate.

    Third Venter:

That alleged anti-Semitic theory was explored earlier this week [Oh, you watch Faux News, so you misssed it!] The occupy movement is composed of a multiplicity of people with many different agendas, coming together primarily on the issue of the impact Wall Street and the 1% have had on the distribution of wealth in our nation.

Now if you are saying that only Semities are wealthy, then perhaps you are introducing that anti-Semitic theme!

    Fourth Venter:

Motto, Slogan, Oath, I still get the Boy Scout pantheon of messages mixed up. Nice to know you don't.
