“The motto for the Democratic National Convention is ‘We make it possible’ except they left out the other part ‘with your money’.”

“Listening to the Democrats repeat over and over that the country is better off now than 2008 is reminiscent of the Iraqi Minister of Information claiming that the Americans weren’t in Baghdad and the Iraqi army was invincible. If the rank-and-file Democrats believe that bald-faced lie they will believe the sun rises in the west. Wait, they do believe that lie.”

“If one were familiar with the Mormon faith, one would understand why Romney is having a difficult time connecting with women. Much like some other faiths, women are thought to be subservient to men. Don’t blame Mitt; it may be due to his upbringing.”

“Read Wednesday’s Vents and it’s no wonder Obama might get a second term. If living within our means and balancing budgets is going backwards a century then let’s get going! Another thinks a 401k statement is the only indicator of things being better than four years ago. No wonder your credit cards are maxed out and you will need government to take care of you!”

“The Republicans believe in working hard to get debt-free. The Democrats believe in hardly working for more free stuff!”

“Why is there no sign of support in Gilbert/Mesa for the Romney campaign? I don’t see one Romney yard sign in any of the yards in my neighborhood. I thought the Mormon families would show some support. Maybe they don’t support his run for the White House. Just maybe they don’t believe his is the right pick.”

“The last few days President Obama and Vice President Biden have been bragging about the bailout of GM. It did help a few people keep their jobs, but it was at the expense of the American people who paid for the $50 billion bailout. It was more important to Obama to save GM than help all of the millions of Americans who were out of work (many of whom still don’t have a job). GM has been and is still moving most of their operations to China. Do some research online. The head of GM has been quoted as saying that the company’s operations and production in China are essential for the future success of GM. What about the United States of America and the millions of dollars that helped the company stay in business?”

Venter #3 - So we excuse misgynists because of their upbringing?

What's next? Excusing members of the KKK for the same reason? ;)

Vent #1: You are right the democrats are doing lots of things I don't appreciate with lots of MY money.

Vent #2: Obama and the democrats are hoping that if they say something often enough it will become true no matter the reality.

Vent #3: Why the anti-religious rant? Are you a morman? I believe women are smart enough to know an honest man as compared to a guy with a slick smile, an easy word and unfulfilled promises.

Vent #4: I am still worried about our future generations from all this debt we are accumulating.

Vent #5: I don't mind people for wanting "free stuff" it's the demanding of more "free stuff" that bothers me.

Vent #6: Come on, you really think that Mormons who are usually very conservative think that Romney isn't better than the tax and deficit spending democrat. Don't think your point of view will fly, besides most of us are all signed-out from the primarIes.

Vent #7: The GM bailout was primarily to save union jobs at GM and down the suppliers line. As to how the bailout accrued see who got the money and seats on the GM board.

I didn't realize that when Romney said he wasn't going to let Fact Checkers stand in the way of his lies---er, statements, that he was also including his supporters.

And the Republicans make a toodoo about Democrats not having God in their platform -- despite the fact the Dems DID put God in there -- and conveniently ignore the fact that God is NOT MENTIONED in the Republican platform either.

    Look again … Arizona Willie,

The Republican Party Platform, conversely, mentions “God” twelve times.

During the drafting of the Democrat Party Platform in Minneapolis last month – and this week, during the Democratic National Convention – Democrats opposed the inclusion of God in their public statement. But they did reinstated God in their party platform at DNC to restore the language as it had appeared in their 2008 party platform.

After the debate over the Democrats removing God from its party platform (DNC Almighty nightmare), Obama quoted scripture (a parallel to Jeremiah 29:11) in his closing speech at DNC; saying “ours is a ‘future filled with hope’”.

    Venters # 4 & 5,

You may claim all you wish that Republicans believe in living within their means and paying down debt and that sounds very nice but...... It simply is NOT what your party has done.

The ugly truth is that the last time our nation had a surplus a Democrat resided at the White House. Just the fact and you know it!

I suppose the claim that Democrats believe in hardly working and free stuff is supported by the fact that Democrats have created almost TWICE as many jobs as Republicans over the last 50 years during the years they held the white house (42 million jobs vs. the repubs 24 million). That pesky little fact can be verified via the Bureau of Labor Statistics. But you probably won't hear it on Fox!
