“The Democrats don’t seem to understand that people aren’t successful because they’re wealthy. They’re wealthy because they are successful.”

“The Democrats don’t seem to understand that people aren’t successful because they’re wealthy. They’re wealthy because they are successful.”

“The Dems want to tax the rich; how about placing an excise tax on the rich “M” industries? Movies, music, media (radio/TV), magazines, major league sports, motor racing and money funds (hedge/mutual) along with individuals in those industries who make over $750,000 a year. Please leave the manufacturing industry out of this since they actually produce usable products.”

“At least the war on the middle class is going well …”

“Passing the bailout bill, all Congress talked about was helping Main Street. Judging from where a lot of the money is going, there must be a lot of Main Streets in China.”

“So long, Democracy. Hello, Socialism. Is that Marxism I see over your shoulder?”

“I urge everyone not to vote for (Rep. Jeff) Flake. Putting his own ideology above what’s best for the people he represents and the country is not the representation we need in Washington.”

“150,000 jobs lost in September. (Barack) Obama blames (President) Bush. I say the culprit was (Hurricane) Ivan, who devastated Galveston, Texas, and the surrounding areas.”

“God made America sovereign and rich, and the liberals took it all away.”

“Gee golly gosh — We now have Sarah Palin, the newest wind-up talking Barbie doll. Betcha she even comes with a cowboy hat, too.”

“Did anybody explain to Palin that it was a vice presidential debate and not a skit for ‘Saturday Night Live’?”

“Hey, Barack Obama: We don’t need you or your ilk trying to re-invent America. We just need someone to revive and restore all the successful policies your party has tried so hard to destroy.”

“I give Michael Moore a lot of credit. He’s been 100 percent correct on the way this country was going and is already going. Yet, he doesn’t gloat about it.”

“Sarah Palin should be careful about slinging mud at Obama, seeing that (John) McCain was reprimanded by Congress in 1991 for ethical violations involving Charles Keating. … And it’s not like McCain was 8 years old at the time, either.”

“For anybody who thinks Sarah Palin would not be able to take over as president of the United States. Please remember that Harry S. Truman took over for Roosevelt during war. Nobody thought he could do it. The country panicked. Harry Truman panicked. … But he was re-elected and now is one of all-time best presidents.”

“How come the Tribune never gives the University of Arizona any space when they win big? There are a lot of Arizona fans here in the Valley. I happen to be one of them, even though I am an ASU alumnus.”

“The economy’s crashing, war is raging, politics are blazing and my littlest brother called me beautiful. It was a good day.”
