“Somebody, please tell me after seven years of watching memorials for 9/11, that after seven years of saying we are fighting the terrorists so they are not going to get away with what they did, why is it the families still have to march down into a big hole in the ground and a construction zone?”

“Somebody, please tell me after seven years of watching memorials for 9/11, that after seven years of saying we are fighting the terrorists so they are not going to get away with what they did, why is it the families still have to march down into a big hole in the ground and a construction zone?”

“I think that (Sept. 11) should be recognized as a national holiday in memory of all of the people that died in the twin towers.”

“The U.S. has severely punished those responsible for the 9/11 attacks by sacrificing 4,000 more lives of its citizens on the altar of oil known as Iraq, an innocent, defenseless country.”

“Let’s remember we are the country that has been continually at war, in conflict, since the 1950s, through every administration. Should we not remember Aug. 6 and Aug. 9, 1945, that we, America and Harry S. Truman, used megabombs to destroy Nagasaki and Hiroshima, Japan, killing over 225,000 innocent men, women and children?”

“(Chandler police Sgt.) Lovejoy, please stop the situation about Joe Arpaio and your dog. You let your dog die. What is done is done. Just let it die with your dog.”

“I’d just like to comment on the man who owns the hookah business in Tempe (Tribune, Thursday). This is the third time they have tried to shut him down for the 'sake of the children.’ If I was this man, I would sue for harassment. Adults have a right to choose as they please.”

“No wonder there’s no money to keep the libraries and nurses at high schools. Looks like the money is being spent on child care for teenage babies. Parent must be proud of their daughters’ picture in Thursday’s Tribune.”

“If the news media … are going to talk about fatal accidents or closures on the Loop 202 in the East Valley, they need to refer to it as the Loop 202 north or south, or either the Red Mountain Freeway or the San Tan Freeway, so people know which freeway they are talking about.”

“It only goes to prove that those people in Washington think they are above the law. Just look at Rep. Charles Rangel. He doesn’t think he didn’t anything wrong by avoiding property taxes.”

“Why does (Rep.) Harry Mitchell say over and over again we are losing the war in Iraq, now that the surge has worked and many troops are coming home?”

“Obama: Allows American flags to be thrown in the trash! As commander in chief, he will be entrusted with the care of one of our national symbols of freedom. His non-action in this matter is one more indication of how he really feels about what represents our country and its freedoms.”

“Wow, I have made up my mind about McCain. If he ever negotiates with (Russian prime minister) Putin about missiles, and Putin uses the words 'pig’ or 'lipstick,’ we are looking at a really petty World War III.”

“My son’s on a hockey team, and players on other teams pick on him. Can Sarah (Palin) come help me?”

“I was a hockey dad, and sometimes I wear lipstick. Does that make me qualified for anything?”
