“I agree with HOA should treat everyone on an even playing field — we feel we get picked on for minor stuff and others have cars on blocks — a no/no! Also, we think the HOA should be called POU (pick on you) so that when you go to sign papers at title office, you will get a heads up of what the HOA is going to be like.”

“To the person with the HOA troubles, I feel your pain! We have an HOA board that says they care, but let the property management company, (Required by state law) to get away with way too much. My advice to you is, go to the meetings and make sure you are heard. I have taken pictures, wrote letters and went to the meetings to show them what they are missing and not doing. I get a great deal of pleasure out of showing the board just how worthless this management company is and make them out to be fools. It has helped, and in some cases, put the HOA board in a position to make them look like they are not doing their jobs either. Bottom line is, if you have RPC as your management company, I fully understand, best I can offer is to find a community that looks well-managed and find out who is the property management company. Once you find it, bring as many points up in your HOA meetings as you can, to show they are not doing their job and suggest the board find a new company. It’s your money paying their fees. That’s what I am working on myself, best of luck to both of us. (Boy, if you’re in the same community, I hope to see you at the next meeting!)”
