“I am wondering who paid fee to ASU for space, parking, and security at the recent Carmona Rally featuring former Pres Bill Clinton.”

“If Carmona was half a man he would have stood up for women and told Clinton to stay home.”

“I’m pleased to learn of Governor Romney’s refusals to appear on David Letterman’s ‘Late Show’ and ‘The View’. Letterman, like many of his politicos and political pundit guests, dwells at the lower end of social integrity. ‘The View’ is TV’s version of the publication, ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’. The Romneys have ‘class.’ Unfortunately Ann Romney has agreed to appear on The View; I hope she’s learned the art of bighting one’s tongue.”

“How come I haven’t seen any battle-scarred eyewittnesses from Banghazi? Only politicians that sound like an eyewitness. Of course a conspiracy based on a solid witch hunt foundation, tempered with 20/20 hindsight doesn’t need an eyewittness. The fact that it was a sneak attack might have something to do with it, you know, like Pearl Harbor, or the World Trade Center.”

“After watching the Vice Presidential debate I realized there is a very important decision we have to make before we vote this November. If something should happen to the President do we really want the man with the nuclear missile launch codes to be Crazy Joe Biden?”

“Regarding Mike McClellan’s anti-NRA rant. First, drug cartels are multi-billion dollar businesses and will acquire what ever guns they desire, regardless of what Arizona does. Second, this is Mexico’s problem, not ours. Mexico needs to secure its border with the U.S. Maybe if they secured their side, and we secured our side, both countries could enjoy a secure border. Third, maybe Mexico needs to give its citizens the right to bear arms. Its citizens are dealing with high levels of violence, a corrupt police force, questionable judiciary, and a porous prison system. Perhaps enabling their citizens to defend themselves might be one step in addressing its problems.”

“I went to the meat counter at a local supermart and ask for a pound of Republican baloney! The butcher said “Sir you won’t find that here, but if you turn on your TV set, any channel you want to watch will give you all of both kinds, more than you’ll care to see.”

“The ranks of those worth at least $30 million swelled by more than 1,000 over the past year to 187,380 people worldwide, according to a news report by a research company Wealth-X. the collective wealth of these multi-millionaires is $25.8 trillion, more than the combined size of the U.S. and Chinese economies The number of billionaires also rose, 9.4 percent to 2,160 people.”

For those who complain about Sheriff Joe costing the county money because of lawsuits over his jail operation ... his jail is no different than others in large metro areas.

What happened to the October 14 vents? I never saw the printed version, so I don't even know if any were printed. Given the Tribune's pathetic format (three days a week), I wouldn't be surprised.

Airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities would kill or injur more than 80,000 people, according to recent studies. The uranium-conversion facility at Isfahan, for example, is located on the citie's outskirts; toxic plumes released from a strike would reach the city center within one hour, rapidly killing or injuring as many as 70,000 and exposing more than 300,000 to toxic clouds of radioactive uranium. U.S. based targets: If Israel attacks Iran, Iran will retaliate by targeting U.S. bases in the middle east, a top Iranian commander said this week. "There will be no neutral country in this region," Said Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh arrow space commander for the Revolutionary Guard. "To us, these bases are equal to U.S. soil., He said than Iran would assume any Israeli attack had the support of the U.S. Last week Iran unveiled a air-defence system that it said is more advanced than the previous, Russian-made system and able to shoot down fighter jets and cruise missiles.
Mitt Romney has given up on the Middle East peace process, in his now-infamous "47%" speach at a recent Flordia fund raisier. "The Palestinians have no intrest whatsoever in establishing peace," Romney said, echoing the hard line of Israel's right wing. Romney neglected to mention that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made negotiation impossible he's deliberately allowed additional settlements in disputed East Jerusalem on the West Bank, nowing that no Palestianian leader will accept humiliating loss of territory. So Romney isn't wrong to say that Palestinians seems uninterested peace." He just neglected to mention that the other player in this conflict isn't particularly interested, either." Yeah it was strange, they had the Oct 14 th vent on the front page but never linked it in to the Vents section.
And then it disappeared completely from the listings.
I wonder if anyone actually has a job dealing with the Letters to the Editor and Vent etc. etc.
Items stay up for weeks at a time. Polls become outdated. Vents are only posted once in awhile.
It's like no one pays any attention to these items on any kind of regular basis.
I guess they are too busy trying to cook up another smear about Sheriff Joe.

Yes, and through President Barack Obama’s treaty-making process on American citizens, he and the Democratic Senate will invite the United Nations to impose tax on billionaires in the U.S. and all over the world. UN rampant globalism and worldwide tax.

I see mrconservative is back to commenting.

I wonder why he's so afraid of backing the numerous claims and correcting the errors (lies) he's made on these forums?

Dishonesty and cowardice...I had no idea those were core Mormon values!

Engaged Voter, dishonesty is certainly a right winger value.
They don't seem to believe in letting facts get in their way.
At least for the right wing politicians ... the right wing sheeple are probably to be pitied more than cursed.
They are all inflicted with that terrible cranium insertus upus rectum disease.

To the letter: Romney and his family don't have class. Class isn't something you buy it is your character. Romney displayed at the debate on Tuesday that he is arrogant, argumentative, a bold face liar and feels like he is the king in the room.Mitt doesn't like to be challenged on his views and thinks because of his wealth that he is entiltled to the Presidency. No Mitt you have to earn it! Someone needs to let Romney know that you don't talk down to the President of our United States.Of course the Neo-Cons don't mind because they too lack in class!

On VP: Biden cleaned Ryan's clock. Ryan who is supposed to be the "numbers" guy couldn't deliver the numbers when it mattered. Joe is strong on foreign policy, this is his back yard and it showed in the debate. Lyan Ryan is the last person I would want in charge. His track record on foreign policy is a bust, just look at the failed Iraq policy of the Bush administration. Ryan is a rookie on foreign policy and you know it.

To guns: Where are you getting that more guns leads to less crime? Where has that been tried where you can say it has been a success? Cartels know they can come here to buy all the guns they want. Bought and paid for gun dealers sell them the guns with no questions asked. That is not just irresponsible that is just stupid. You can buy guns in Mexico, the difference is there are forms to fill out, a wait time and the only gun they are allowed to purchase is a .38 caliber. Huge difference from here. The border is only part of the problem, the gun-sellers need to take the heat for this also.

Vent #1: Lets hope the Carmona campaign pays all its bills.

Vent #2: Carmona needed Bill, the liar, Clinton to help him out.

Vent #3: These liberal/progressive shows ask softball questions to the Obama and his people, but ask "Gotcha" questions to the Romney people.

Vent #4: Obama and his administration are keeping anything to do with Benghazi on hold until after the election. Remember what Obama and his people where saying "It's all because of the video.". Obama was misleading us and was showing his incompetence, it's time to let him go.

Vent #5: Hey Joe Biden is no worse than Lyndon Johnson. Wait!!! Johnson was bad!!! No codes for Joe..... LOL

Vent #6: With programs like Fast and Furious and false reports from the administration that the border is secure, we will have trouble stopping the guns from going to Mexico and the cartels. The cartel's big money can buy guns anywhere they want. It's the criminals that sell the guns to them that should be thrown in jail.

Vent #7: There is baloney coming from both parties. Although Romney's baloney is all-American beef with no colorings or preservatives, Obama's baloney is made of jerk chicken with lots of bitters, salt, bad flavorings and some rainbow color thrown in.

Vent #8: Stick with Obama and you'll never have a chance of being one of the rich people. With Obama you'll be able to sit by and watch the rich people go by while getting your handouts from Obama's big government.

My Take posted: “No Mitt you have to earn it! Someone needs to let Romney know that you don't talk down to the President of our United States.”

    At the presidential debates??

After the deadly Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, President Obama pushed the idea that the attack, that left U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and three other Americans dead, was spontaneous and not pre-planned work of terrorists.

During the second presidential debate, Republican candidate Mitt Romney questioned President Obama's bizarre, misleading handling of the aftermath of that attack. And how soon did the White House really know this was an orchestrated terror-attack in Libya?

Romney: I want to make sure we get that for the record because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror.

    Obama: Get the transcript.

Then Moderator CNN's Candy Crowley weighed in with her own interpretation of those words during the debate exchange: Crowley said, “It -- it -- it -- he did in fact, sir. So let me -- let me call it an act of terror.”

Obama: Can you say that a little louder, Candy?

Crowley: He -- he did call it an act of terror.

He never specified it as an act of terror. He said, "No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation." (I checked the transcript)

However, the President is using a play on words. The legal term of "act of terrorism" was never used. Not once.

And Obama continues to claim for two weeks that it was spontaneous. Hillary Clinton continued to claim it was the anti-Muhwameed video.

(By the way, I spelled "Muhwameed" that way on purpose)

It's funny to watch mrconservative squirm and evade when he's been caught lying.

Now he's reduced to playing semantics with the president's words.

    How quaint.

I wonder if he'll ever grow a spine and support the numerous claims he's made...
