“A Mesa Mormon auditioning for ‘American Idol’ and Simon vowing that she will see her first R-rated movie while in Hollywood reminds me of that old song, “Lose the ways of a small-town saint.” (singing) ‘Arizona, see things my way.’ I’m cheering for Brooke to sing great and to stick to her standards.”

“Louis says people are complaining about our $190 steaks. I say let them eat burger.”

“About that $190 steak, I’m a woman who quit eating beef about 10 years because I figured one mad cow in my house is quite enough.”

“To the venter that said he missed the police. Hey, the Police has disbanded but Sting is still putting out albums. So don’t despair. He’s pretty good still.”

“Hillary has something to cry about now.”

“I find it positively appalling to think that when we Democrats went to the polls and voted for Sen. Clinton, and she won Arizona, but then (Gov.) Napolitano or any other politician can go (to the national convention) as super-delegates and vote for the opposition. Why bother to vote in the primary?”

“You’re about to see how the system is rigged so that people can’t rock the boat. Hillary only needs to hang on to the convention, where the 76 unelected super-delegates will give her the nomination.”

“I’m ready to vote. No more taxes of any kind. Our federal government spends billions upon billions of dollars on countries around the world, but it never has money to use for the American people.”

“Crooks unite! You are just trying to make a living because all of the illegals are taking your job.”

“To all of you who think we should get rid of all immigrants, I hope you read Thursday’s article about what that has done to Oklahoma. It has destroyed their economy.”

“How come Congress can find time to investigate the ’roid monkeys in baseball, but can’t find time to investigate the monkeys in the White House?”

“My heart and my sympathy goes out to the Navy SEAL who died parachuting (Tribune, Thursday). I’m Marine Corps, Department of Navy, and it’s not our job or the Navy’s job to be parachuting. That’s why we’ve got the 101st. That’s why we’ve got the Air Cav(alry). This is not a Steven Segal movie. This is the real world.”

“New government joke. Did you sign up for the digital-to-analog converter box coupon? Forget it if you’re not on cable or any other system. Poor man’s out again, of course.”

“Regarding (Wednesday’s) editorial, I’m just astounded at your ignorance regarding the use of waterboarding. We’ve used it three times in the last seven years and it has given us what we need in all three cases — vital intelligence that saved lives. This theoretical moral high ground that you want to live in will get people killed.”

“Torture and other physical means of interrogation were not used by leaders of the past and former administrations because part of the American ideal was to use intelligence and outsmart the enemy. I think we can say without any objection that the current administration and leaders of all divisions of government aren’t that intelligent.”
