As an Arizona native, I am very proud to live in Arizona for three great reasons: our great history, our sunsets, and how the people of Arizona came together after the Tucson tragedy.
Recently, the people of Arizona showed how caring they could be. The people came together after the Tucson tragedy. People came to the hospital that Representative Gifford’s was at to pay their respects. People cried and felt Representative Gifford’s pain. The people of Arizona came together to support each other.
Next, Arizona has great history. We have cowboys and Indians ranchers and miners. Famous Indians like Cochise and Geronimo once lived and hunted here. Famous men like Wyatt Earp lived here. We have ancient cliff dwellers. Now we have modern day sports and theater and new culture.
Last but not least, we have beautiful sunsets. The desert and tropics are noted for spectacular sunsets. Most states have hideous sunsets because they have a lot of pollution in the air. Clean air equals pretty sunsets. Another great thing about the sunsets is you can watch the sunsets in a T-shirt and shorts and not have to get all bundled up in blankets.
Being an Arizona native, I am hit by the good and bad things that happen here. I love the beautiful sunsets, the great history, and how the people came together after the Tucson tragedy. I am proud to be from Arizona.
