I had to make the dreaded phone call to Department of Public Safety today.  Why is it every time you call a government agency, the person on the other end hates their life!?! You took the job to answer phones, not me. You should be happy you have a job.

Well to my surprise, it was my LUCKY day! When Debbie answered the phone ... I immediately felt when she picked up the phone, she had a smile on her face and she WANTED to assist me. Many previous interactions I’ve had with government employees are the bare minimum just to get you to go away, whether it is in person or on the telephone. Debbie explained each step of the process with delight that I was going to need to do in order to be successful. It is wonderful to know there are people who still love their job and share a positive attitude. Some others need to take lessons from Debbie. A little friendliness goes a long way. Too many exceptional people go unnoticed whereas majority of the negative gets recognized. Thank you Debbie, you made my day.
