I wish Russell Pearce was as enthusiastic about tourism and winter visitors as he is about handgun ownership and anti-immigration. The latter do not create many jobs unless we count the boost in the undertaking trade. Arizona is now among the leaders in gun-involved slayings.

I agree with you, but we are obviously in the minority otherwise he would not have been re-elected. And, to think, his peers elected him Senate President. I've always thought that the potential for Arizona to lead the country in tourism is it's economic salvation, but guys like Pearce seem to think otherwise. I know in Florida the tourists are taxed to such a degree that the residents don't have an income tax, and their first $25,000 of house value is exempt from real estate tax (Homestead exemption).

Pearce is tied in with Arpaio. Arpaio has made a name for himself in politics by housing prisoners in tents, and calling frequent press conferences to tout such things a prisoner underware and raids on illegal aliens, but not on law enforcement where it counts. Where FDR once said "We have nothing to fear but fear itself," we have a patented brand of politician in Arizona who are prooving FDR wrong. We can and do fear fear-mongering politicians. And yes, it is our fault for listening to them monger fear.

Baltimore, Maryland and our Nation's Capitol, Washington, D.C., have the toughest gun laws in the Nation and have the highest crime and murder rates too. The Left-wing/Liberals would have Americans defenseless in their own homes. They want the citizenry to be weaponless so that "Big Brother Government" will be in a better position to "control" the population just like they did in "East Germany" and the way they are controlling the people of Communist China and North Korea.
As to immigration, Arizona (thanks to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Governor Jan Brewer and SENATOR RUSSELL PEARCE) has led this Nation back from the Democrat's Illegal Alien Amnesty "brink" that Obama, Pelosi and Reid (the Socialist Democrat = GANG OF THREE) were trying to push throw Congress. Now there are towns, cities, counties and States all across America enacting ...SB1070-type Laws.
I just read where Congressman Jeff Flake is putting his name in contention for Arizona Senator.......JEFF FLAKE WAS ONE OF THE ORIGINAL SPONSORS..WAY BACK WHEN...FOR TOTAL ............AMNESTY....FOR THE 20MILLION+.... ILLEGAL ALIENS...IN AMERICA.
ARIZONA NEEDS A ..."TEA PARTY".. SENATOR
