It is perplexing to know that Mitt Romney is still out there doing enormous damage to his party. He surfaced in a video interview last week and proved again why he is not the president. At one time he took the losing teapublican approach to immigration. Next, he claimed the party has to do a better job of attracting minorities. He didn’t get it when he was running. He doesn’t get it now. With any luck, neither he nor his GOP train wreck will get it ever.
Why Romney lost the election can be stated clearly and succinctly. The American public is fed up with those who consider politics to be a rich man’s game, and Romney is the icon of everything that game entails. Look for more purging of the corporate power elite in 2014.

History will prove Obama was the worst President on record topping Jimmy Carter for that honor.
The Democrat party is a charade and a sham with that whole we understand the people thing. At what point are you going to hold Obama responsible for his policies? Ever? Obama is as deep in the pockets of Wall Street as Romney ever thought of being and lives an elitist lifestyle. Amazing how the MSM has twisted the average American's thinking.
Chatman and VofReason are spot on downtown. Try having an original thought and get off the racial component. That excuse for Obama's pathetic performance is tired particularly since he's been elected twice.

Romney said 47% will vote Democratic no matter what. That got him in a lot of "hot water". Had he said 47% will vote Democratic no matter what and 47% will vote Republican no matter what and the campaign is about the 6%. No one would have said a thing except that he is right. The campaign was all about the 6%.

VofR,
I must be right on target with my comments to be attacked with such venom. But then again these types of attacks are the only way the liberal/progressive/socialists can respond to the truth.

But good show DTR, telling people that disagree that they are racists always strengthens one's arguement.

Hmmm, so did all of the Democrats hate President Bush becuase he was white? I love when people argue that Republican politicians are rich indicating that some how Democrats are poor and therefore understand the people. That usually leads me to dismiss everything that follows as foolhardy. I would react to the above submission by saying is President Obama then doing enormous damage to his party? You know like lying to the people that 2% cuts in the amount of spending growth is the end of the world, ending Whitehouse tours as a charade to show that they are tightening their belt and letting illigal immigrant go (well they will have to understand who did and why later) in anticipation of the gulp cuts? Or should we play along, because of course President Obama is black and not to be questioned?

Please chatmandu002,
Get over it. Your "analysis" of the election "issues" is as wrong headed as your blind hatred for Obama, the black man.
47% isn't very original. If you had just said "half" that voted everyone might not have realized that you are just parroting what the big Mormon king said to all the rich contributors he was courting.
Who did you hate before you got Obama to whine about?

So, Ron, you don't think Obama is a rich man?
Romney's immigration plan is unrealistic, but it has nothing to do with his wealth or his political party. You need to look past simple-minded generalizations.

Ron,
The election was won by Obama with help from the MSM by dividing the republicans from the people. The election wasn't about the economy, it was about social issues, gay rights, more give aways from the government and raising taxes on the rich. You know the 47% that voted to not have their freebees cut.

Dear Mr. Ron Weitbrecht,
A little truth and a reality check is called for after reading your Letter to the Editor.
Let's look at some ....FACTS;
1. Electoral College Vote
Obama = 332 (mostly urban, East and West Coast "Inner-City" Districts
Romney = 206 (mostly suburban, middle-class, employed tax-payers
2. 26 States for Obama
24 States for Romney
3. 65,907,213 Votes for Obama
60,931,767 Votes for Romney
126,838,980 Total Votes
4,975,446 Votes more for Obama out of the 126,838,980 Total Votes cast.
4. 51.1% of the American Electorate voted for Obama
47,2% of the American Electorate voted for Romney
ALMOST 50% OF THE AMERICAN ELECTORATE DON'T TRUST OBAMA AS FAR AS THEY COULD THROW HIM.....[wink]
