Reject candidates endorsed by sheriff

Now that the Maricopa Board of Supervisors has apparently shown that the “Emperor” is void of any clothing, perhaps intelligent and thoughtful voters in November will reject any candidates (Huppenthal, Pearce, et al.) so heartily endorsed by Sheriff Joe.

After all, you are known by the company you keep!

Richard K. Meszar, Ed.D., Mesa

Don't advertise your doctorate. This is the state that is 50th out of 50th in education. Actually getting out of the sixth grade before social promotion is suspect. You want proof, look at the Governor.

Richard K. Meszar is rejecting any candidates that are endorsed by Sheriff Joe Arpaio . . only because he strongly refuses to accept the new Arizona Law, SB 1070, which is the toughest anti-illegal immigration law in the nation.

Accuracy. To be accurate, 1070 is a law blocked from going fully into effect as it was ruled are in violation of the US Constitution.. Just like Joe ILLEGAL. Bet it info from his own staff's 63 page memo, or the possible $80m in misused taxpayer money.

You notice Arpaio isn't campaigning for anyone in AZ anymore, right?

I love how Accuracy makes up reasons for Dr. Meszar's rejection of candidates endorsed by the blowhard with a badge.....makes his screenname quite misleading, eh?

Dataman - Good points on the $80m of misused taxpayer money. But as long as The Joke is rounding up swarthy brown skinned males, mindless robots like Accuracy won't care.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio's candidate endorsement is still sought after for the upcoming election . . . Not only in demand in Arizona, but also in other states. He endorsed Sharron Angle, the Republican Senate nominee in Nevada and will endorse Tom Tancredo, an Independent running for governor in Colorado.

Even though Sheriff Joe is despised by Democrats and he draws protesters concerning Arizona's illegal immigration law.

Debate over Arizona’s law (SB 1070), cracks down on illegal immigrants, hasn’t quieted down on/in campaigns.

There was a law conference with some of nation's top legal professionals at Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law on Friday; where speakers shared their opinions about what they believe SB 1070 is about. “State University of New York Buffalo law professor Rick Su agreed, saying Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio used the state Legislature to support his immigration-enforcement efforts while cities like Phoenix are using the government to oppose it,” Rick Su, State University of New York Buffalo law professor said.

Obama administration's lawsuit against Arizona's immigration law, and the ruling by U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton, that blocked controversial parts of the law, has only increased Gov. Jan Brewer’s campaign popularity in the Gubernatorial race.
