Letter: Sex offender laws need to account for nuanced situations

The law for sex offenders needs to be adjusted. I believe laws are there to protect us, but some laws are not fair. Some men do deserve to be punished, but young men are punished severely. That law punish everyone at any level that shouldn’t be the case it’s not the same to be 4-14 years old than to be 15-17 years old at that age girls are having babies. We need to modify that law. Don’t we send 15 thru 17 minors trial as adult when they committed a crime.
