Here, I publicly praise staff in the Tempe construction department. Our home faces College Avenue, which is being reconstructed to “calm and reduce cut-through traffic”. As I did not attend public meetings to voice opposition to the project, I was resigned to the project’s eventual effects. However, when one project design feature adversely affected our quality of life on a continuing basis, my wife contacted the city to resolve the issue. I was not hopeful, however, within three weeks of her call we had two meetings with city staff, and the staff initiated and the private construction firm implemented design changes – at a material cost – that addressed our concern. Thanks Tempe!

Bill Richardson,
Should we now conclude that apparently Tempe's Liberal Government does care about it's citizens? What do you think, Bill?
