Sunday's Tribune editorial with such fine prose regarding our legislature's continued lack of prioritizing reminds me of the smart kid facing a bully.
The smart kid's clearly right, but he keeps getting his butt whipped on the playground.
Russell Pearce and his stooges will continue to bully those who disagree and stand in their way. The smart kid better get some street smarts and defend himself, before the bully chases him and all the other smart kids away. The stench of fear is in the wind. Who will step up?

What is it with well-educated, financially comfortable, Left-wing/Liberal Democrats and their fanatical adoration for a 'MESSIAH" who will change America into a "Kumbayah Socialist Utopia"?
We saw this same irrational behavior in the late 1970's with "JIM JONES". He was just another smooth-talking, "change" promising, pie in the sky Democrat preaching a life of total Social, Racial and Economic Equality (kind of reminds you of Barack Hussein Obama doesn't it). No one will be rich and no one will be poor. We all know what tragedy befell the followers of Jim Jones = THE JONESTOWN, GUYANA MASSACRE. 936 followers died of cyanide poisoning (the infamous PURPLE KOOL-AID). Jim Jones, like so many other Democrat leaders, promised an America that was "open to all citizens", that was a Socialist Paradise where everyone was taken care of by the Government from...........cradle to grave...where you worked or not, paid taxes or not, were and American or not.
The Citizens all across America saw what was happening to our Great Nation and said "NO" at the ballot box on November 2nd, 2010. They did not want a Socialist America...they wanted the Capitalist America that our Founding Fathers created back in 1776.
Arizona is standing up to the Obama "Change for the Worse". We want our Border secured and we want our hard earned tax-payer dollars to go to ....LEGAL AMERICANS..and if necessary we will fight all the way to protect Arizona's Rights under the Constitution and Bill of Rights...even if it means going all the way to the Supreme Court.

They're passing laws about bed bugs and suing the Feds without a chance of anything but a headline, I'd stand up to them but I'm too busy laughing. They're not going to get down and handle anything because they really are too stupid to do anything but play to the peanut gallery. Hey, we elected our own entertainment, cancel your cable who needs a reality show?

Smart kids don't break the law and leech money off of honest people.
Pretending the illegal problem is nonexistent doesn't make it go away...it actually makes it worse.
And Slabside...were you trying to be funny?
When calling someone an idiot, you should probably spell "you're" correctly so people don't laugh at the irony...like I did. ;)

Well spoken, DJ. You're a good example of the smart kid vs. the bully. Unfortunately in our case, the bully is smart as well. So was Adolphe Hitler. I guess so long as it's the "American" Nazi Party, it's OK with them. Very clever, it seems to be working. Too many Arizonans are supporting the same kind of low-lifes our fathers and grandfathers fought so bravely against in WWII. They either don't get it or don't care. Not very American is it?

I like your analogy. But clearly the bully fans do not!
In my bullying analogy, the smart kid lets the playground monitor know about the intimodation and sets the bully up by having the monitor match more closely in an area not surveyled before. In the case of our Arizona Bullies, Eric Holder and the US Attornies are watching closely, biding their time until they can spring that trap! Keep the faith, brother. Time will come. Then the bullies will all scream "bloody murder!"
