“We the People” have spoken. Not against Democrats or for Republicans, but against a philosophy that trivializes individuality while promoting central power in big government.
We voted against fiscal irresponsibility, and deaf governing.
Against individuals who forgot what the foundation of a free society is.
That all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights. That those rights are not up for compromise, and that with freedom comes accountability, the need for self reliance, social conscience and moral ethics.
For too long our representatives have ignored the lessons of history blinded by an ideology that has failed consistently. Let this be a lesson to our representatives. You are not in Washington on your own right.
You are sent to Washington as a public servant; as a voice for “we the people” — not a pawn for the political parties.

Jose?
You are a Tea Partiest, right? I have understood the theme of the Tea Party since age 19 when I first came to live in the Washington, D.C. area. Back then McCarthism had just been conquered but the John Birchers will still running rampant. And getting to know those numerous bureaucrats who run government convinced me that government is inherently inefficient, but nevertheless necessary.
Politicians lie, for numerous reasons. Bush 43 lied about Iraq, Johnson lied about the Gulf of Tonkin. Truman lied about a number of things and was lied to in effect by Roosevelt who kept him in the dark. We are all being kept in the dark about something. I fear that you Tea Partiers are no exception. Your contributions go to line the pockets of the several organizers and johnie/jackie come latelys.
What to do about it? Keep complaining. Maybe someone will start listening. Otherwise you will go insane!
But "Have the people spoken anything of coherance?" Hell no, they have not! They just got upset with the body politic and in anger expressed their rath.

Dale, yes I joined the tea party. But not out of irracional anger but out of conviction. The conviction that the power should always reside with the people. As you said, government is inherently inefficient, and politicians lie all the time. So why would anybody with two cents of common sense would want to increase the size of government and relinquish even more of their freedom to an institution that is plagued with intellectual dishonesty and mediocrity? How can so many be blinded by their political bias? We don't have to look too far to see the results of the ideology and direction of the party in power. Do you really want to see America institute the same policies of Greece, or France?
Riots in the street because of cutting entitlements? Inefficiency protected by law?
There is wisdom on having a limited government. Liberty is a risky business. It is not perfect. But I rather have the ability of choosing my course in life than having a beaurocrat decide what I can eat or not.
As far as your mention of wrath. It is not the tea partiers that crash into meetings to disrupt and cause chaos instead of choosing public debate. It is not tea partiers that call to people opposite to their views "bigots"; or see racism everywhere they look. Who is being irracional here?
