I am scratching my head over just what Rod Livdahl is trying to say in his recent comments. Almost 10 months after the election I still continue to be amused by Democrats trying to justify themselves. They do not have to; Obama won for a second time! Perhaps our move towards socialism is not far enough or fast enough for their liking.

Mr. Livdahl’s side is winning. This is time for celebration not division. As a country we have progressively changed how we think and the values of self determination, innovation and hard work have been replaced with entitlement treasure hunting. We are moving toward the utopia liberals want — equality of outcome instead of equality of opportunity — yet they still seem unhappy.

A 7-plus-percent level of unemployment is now “full employment,” and more government debt in the last 4 years than the previous 8 years is the new norm with trillion dollar annual deficits as far as the eye can see.

We have a new progressive economy where there are more people in the wagon than there are pulling the wagon. As citizens we have two choices; work harder to help pay for the record number of people living off of government programs or, hey, just vote democrat and jump in the wagon. It beats working!
