To whom ever it may concern: I had seen that Mesa was putting on a ChicagoFest (on a recent) weekend, and, boy, was I excited by the things I heard about it on the radio. I bought 6 tickets at 10.00 each and myself, son and Wife went out there on Saturday. My other 3 boys couldn’t make it they were planning on Sunday. When I got there, I was very disappointed. I am from the Chicago area as were many people there. They did not even have Old Style beer. They had three bands going, food and Mike Ditka for an hour. That’s it. The small tents set up were the museums and memories of such a great city. I basically paid 10 dollars to pay to eat. The people running the event were very nice and knew much of the history of the city, as did the visitors. The venders, many who were also from the great city were also saying it was a bust. I just threw out the other 3 tickets. Please do not have this so close to Cubs Park next year. It embarrassed me as a Chicago native.
