Well the Newspaper media and TV News people struck out with two new “almost” major events. The Iran-Mexican Drug Cartel-Saudi Arabian Ambassador assassination “story” which quickly became a “bed time” story everywhere but on MSNBC. This “bedtime story” was dropped quicker than a hot potato even by Obama Newspaper mouthpieces like the Atlanta-Journal Constitution and the Washington Post. Vice-President Joe Biden couldn’t be persuaded to go out on a limb for Obama on this one.
The second event that ended up being a “non-starter” was the Occupy Wall Street protests. Thousands in NYC, same for Boston, Chicago, Seattle and San Francisco and no one cared. When CNN, ABC, CNBC and MSNBC first showed the freaky anarchists and street entertainers all made-up in white Clown and Joker faces, Main Street Americans were turned off. Try as the Media might, the Liberals, Progressives, Democrats, Unions, the odd Religious person could not give any legitimacy to this Mob.
MSNBC’S Reverend Al Sharpton tried to bring some TV focus back to the protests but to no avail. A pig wearing lipstick is still a pig. When Jesse Jackson doesn’t even show up to help his buddy, Al out, you know this Occupy Wall Street story is going nowhere.
Here in Chavez Park we saw these so-called “Protesters” in person. If they are so poor why do all of these Occupy Wall Street protesters have “cell phones with cameras”. If they are Wall Street “victims”, then how can they afford to buy “Occupy Wall Street” t-shirts ?

I have to agree Slab, Dale is no conservative. A progressive socialist in sheep's clothing more likely from what I've seen him post.
RationalHuman, are you calling God a fairy now?

Thank you Leon for your no nonsense approach and seeing through the "smoke & mirrors". Thank you all, my fellow conservatives, who love this country and all that it embraces. Last but not least, a great big hug and kiss for you Dale. Nature, in all of its' beauty and wonder, must have a "balance". So as you can see, Dale, there is a place for you. Do not be disheartened, continue your colorful insights. Enlightened us on your insightful conclusions. Broaden our outlook on all that envelopes us in this world we live in. Dale....I agree with Slabside. You need to have your prescription checked. I was stating fact that there is no GOAL put forward by the OWS group. That is not going out on a limb it is simply stating the obvious.

Sure Dale, whatever you say. Have you ever wondered why so many posters here besides me tell you the same things I do?
Keep safe and warm in your fantasy world. The creatures there know and love you.

Slabside,
It's all black and white for you, isn't it. Did you worship John Wayne as a youth? I'd wager you have a white cowboy hat in your closit. Or is it on the stand near your front door?
You think you are a conservative. But you are not. You are a neo-conservative. And because I disagree with you, you think I must be a liberal. But I am not. I'm more of a conservative than you will ever be.

Saw some of the AZ occupy gang. One looked like the same guy with the "Get prescription for Medical Marijuana" sign on Scottsdale and Thomas. Why is it that the media, Dale and other nuts throw in with the freak crowds, but are so against the Tea Party. Just seems bonkers that you go against the people who look liike your Aunt and Uncle and are for the knuckleheads you wouldn't want your kids to hang around with. Guess that is liberalism, it is a mental disorder.

CSalafia, Occupy Wall Street is 2 to 3 times more popular, and has much greater approval with who? Voting America? Socialist, anti-capitalist America?
Incestuous relationship between corporate America and the Government? What planet do you live on? This country is a capitalistic country. Of course our government is right there with business to help business prosper. Without a prospering business, labor dies a slow painful starvation.
Our education system was long ago taken over by the socialists so it's no wonder idiots like you come up with such nonsense. Sad but true.
In_God_We_Trust posted at 12:06 pm on Tue, Oct 18, 2011.
Wall Street will continue to sit on their money until Main Street decides to get off their collective rear ends, roll up their sleeves and do some work for a change. Labors share of the nations income is a direct result of their inability to compete with the rest of the world, but continue to blame the banks and wall street like little fascist tools that you are.

One of the most respected fund managers, Bill Gross of PIMCO wrote “Class warfare by the 99%? Of course, they-re fighting back after 30 years of being shot at.”
To which Joe Weisenthal of the Business Insider writes, “It sounds like he's basically saying it started with Reagan, though actually labor's share of the national income has been declining for about 40 years.”
So, Leon et al, you may not be impressed with Occupy Wall Street but the people on Main Street should be paying attention to what is happening to their bottom line.

OK Slab, I'll spell it out for you.
In my opinion Leon's opinion, your opinion, PatrioticPerson's opinion, Rich's opinion and Rose's opinion about the veracity and seriousness of both the Iran assassination attempt and the Occuply Wall Street piece being nonsense may yet prove to be wrong, dead wrong. Time will tell.
Does this not constitute taking an actual opinion on the story topic, a contra opinion? Sure it does.
I question the substance of the Iran assassination piece. If it is being dropped as Leon opines it is, then it may lack substance. But time will tell. And sure if OWS does not catch on and get some focus, it may die off. Time will tell. But the more the NYPD does to control this peacefull live in, the more it becomes a movement which could roll across not just Wall Street, but Main Street as well. Once again, time will tell.
Your comment to the contrary is just plain stupid.
Let me repeat. Why am I not surprised to see Leon, Slabside and PatrioticPerson so far out on the limb again? Time will tell just how far out they have ventured.
In my opinion your opinions are premature. You could be correct. But premature is premature just as Stupid is as Stupid does!

Sometimes I wonder what version of reality people live in.
Recent polling shows that OWS is 2-3x more popular, and has much greater approval, than the Tea Party.
Secondly, protesting corporate greed and the incestuous relationship between corporate America and the Government isn't invalidated because people have cell phones with cameras. That's a logical fallacy of the highest order, similar to saying, as the Heritage Foundation did, that poor people aren't really poor because 99% of them have refrigerators.
Third, completely dismissing OWS because there's a group involved you don't agree with is something called "poisoning the well"...yet another logical fallacy.

Good idea Arizona Willie, let them just be done with it and kill off the cash cow that currently feeds them. Of course, it's hard to get the unemployed to stop working, and those that work need money to pay their cell phone bill and car payments. Only the truly hard core socialists, that know what their masters true designs are, would comply. Viva La Revolution! Off With Their Heads!

PatrioticPerson, these tools don't have any other goal except to disrupt our system. They are tools for others, progressive socialist, to evoke regime change (down with capitalism, up with communism). For most of the tools, they don't have a clue what it's all about.

Marching around waving signs accomplishes NOTHING.
Now if they organized a NATIONAL NO WORK WEEK -- that would get their attention.
The only thing the powers that be understand is MONEY.
Unless you hit them in the wallet they don't give a *rap.
They sit in their country clubs after playing a round of golf and watch the protestors on tv then go into the dining room and have a bit of lobster and filet mignon and laugh at the protestors.
A NATIONAL NO WORK WEEK would hurt them and get their attention. Everybody should report to their work location then sit on their hands and do nothing or as close to it as possible.
Lost production and profits will have an affect. Signs not so much.

Obozo Pretends He Supports the 99%, but He’s a Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing. Obozo has raised more from Wall Street than anyone else. He is bought and paid for. Obozo has appointed the very Wall Street insiders who helped cause the financial crisis to top posts. He thinks that high unemployment is a good thing. Obama, just like the other pimps in D.C., has institutionalized fraud as an official party platform. Americans didn’t want bailouts, but Obama helped to facilitate trillions in direct and hidden bailouts. Obozo doesn’t support the 99%. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The Occupy Wall Street rabble do not understand who's tool they really are.

The heads that should be demanded are those of Bush, Rove, Cheney and company who caused the economic calamity that we now face. The far right always seems to put down everyone who disagrees with them, but it's interesting that they have no clue that they are the ones who caused the problem and continue to cause the problem in the first place. Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter and the rest continue to peddle their baloney and people like Slab and Ceniceros listen to these idiots.

The OWS movement has enthusiasm, backing, outside support but is lacking one thing. A GOAL. I have not heard a list of requests or demands or wishes that they want. They don't like the way things are, not many people do, but they don't offer a solution. I even read where some of the protesters quit their jobs and went to Wall Street to protest that there is a lack of jobs. Sure makes sense to me!
Slabside posted at 4:54 pm on Mon, Oct 17, 2011.
Good letter Leon. These "Occupy Wallstreet" protests are nothing more than union backed radical leftists. They are trying their best to turn the spotlight away Obama's failed policies, the failed stimulus, unemployment that Obama has yet to address, Fast and Furious and now the Solyndra mess.
They should be in front of the White House demanding the heads of Obama, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank.
