"To the Venter on March 13 who wondered ‘what would happen if we had socialized medicine in this country?' Being a former resident of Canada, moving to Arizona in 1977 as the socialization of medicine was starting to take hold, with Canadian doctors jumping ship for the U.S. and hospitals shutting down, I can attest to the hardships my Canadian family and friends have had to endure trying to attain medical diagnosis and treatment. A six-to-eight-month wait to see a dermatologist for a skin condition, I think not."

"The census has spoken: The majority of babies born are Hispanic. Asians and Hispanics are now the majority in California. Conclusion. We need Affirmative Action now for the new minority. Also, close the borders, we have enough people."

"To those bicyclists along the Queen Creek Wash: When you come up on a pedestrian from behind, please have the common courtesy to make your presence known and let them know you are passing (ie: passing on the left). And don't wait until you are on the pedestrian's heels before (if) you do so."

"Kudos to the venter who spoke up about the biased reporting of Channel 3. They should have mentioned that it applies to most, if not all, of the TV media in central and southern Arizona. It's a travesty they feel the need to pander to the illegals and dissidents in our communities."

"How pathetic is our news media. In the wake of the Japan tragedy, we make everything about us. What about our nuke plants? Who lives close to Palo Verde? Is Palo Verde safe? Why do we have nuke plants in earthquake-prone California? Are we prepared for a similar tragedy? Let me ask this: Why are we so pathetically narcissistic?"
