Dear Florence mayor and town council:

Come now, Town of Florence, where is your respect for your fellow citizens. This money is paid by each and every citizen in San Tan Valley and YOU are refusing to give us our own money.

Let’s be fair, we could be good neighbors, and really grow together. Think about it, do you really want to cheat thousands of citizens out of the money that is owed to them?

Are you aware of what the incorporation of San Tan Valley will really do to help Florence grow? With the business and industry attracted to such a large area, your citizens could now find jobs locally. Service businesses would go to Florence to build because you are close and a small town where many like to live. You would experience increased development in your town as more restaurants would be needed, along with clothing stores and home repair shops, and the list goes on.

Look at the big picture instead of being narrow-minded and let your town grow. It presently has no new businesses and has been that way for many years. You are actually holding the town back from new development because you refuse to let a nearby city develop that could help your growth immensely. Your biggest industry is a state prison. You would be much more attractive connected to a large city that could send millions of dollars in trade to you. You would prosper too.

Ann Motlok, A disgusted American and citizen of San Tan Valley
