"Changing the school meal programs, making kids go 10 miles to another school with no bussing help, raising college tuition - if it is just too much trouble for the governor and Legislature to actually educate our young, why don't they just close up all the schools and do away with this worrisome issue altogether? Then our children can grow up to be as ignorant as they are."

"Imagine if an ordinary citizen, especially a Latina, attempted to scold Gov. Brewer, including fingerpointing inches from her face. How many seconds would it take Sheriff Joe's thugs to intervene and administer swift punishment for the assault? Why shouldn't the Governor be prosecuted for her intimidation, verbal assault and threatening behavior towards our highest federal official?"

"I am so disappointed. I knew The Vent would be mostly filled with inane comments bashing Jan Brewer after the finger pointing incident had gone viral. The outrage expressed by those Venters, who were so offended and embarrassed by Gov. Brewer's action, is typical of the reason they are liberals, in the first place. The fact that they don't have the backbone to stand up to the unacceptable behavior of this phony ‘president' themselves, gives them all the credentials of card-carrying, leftist, liberal elitists. But, I digress... My disappointment comes from the fact that the governor didn't use the correct finger, nor place it where it really should have gone!"

"What ever happened to Arizona chivalry? Phoenix Mayor Stanton and Mesa Mayor Smith are standing with Gov. Jan Brewer when the president, Barack Hussein Obama, cuts her off in mid-sentence and turns his back on her and walks away. Stanton and Smith don't have the you-know-whats to take Obama by the arm and say, ‘wait a minute, pardner, this is Arizona and we don't treat our women-folk like that,' and make Obama go back and apologize to Gov. Brewer. Now Stanton is a Democrat so he has has an excuse but Mayor Smith calls himself a Republican, therefore he has no excuse for his inaction."

"Next time, Mr Obama, you better have proper ID. We have a sheriff here that is accused of racial profiling."

"Legislation would let insured pet owners keep dogs off leash? That just has to be a joke. Oh right, that would be the Arizona state legislators. Preposterously, idiotically insane! Is this what they are wasting their time with? Yep, business as usual!"

"There has been much debate in this column about whether or not Mormons, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are ‘Christians.' This argument will never be settled as it is based on emotion rather than reason. But, the behavior of some of the Mormons in the public limelight such as Mitt Romney, Russell Pearce and Glenn Beck make a pretty strong argument against."

"The race for the Republican presidential nomination is about to blast off into outer space and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has just announced that, if elected, he'd establish a colony on the moon by 2020, making it the 51st state. Let's make Newt the first U.S. Representative from that 51st State. And 2012 is none too soon!"

"Newt rocks? The only thing Newt Gingrich ever ‘rocked' was his car or his marital bed with his mistresses!"

"Barack Obama's ballot-challenge hearing case in Atlanta was held Thursday (Jan. 26, 2012) before a packed courtroom - except for those at Obama's attorneys table facing Deputy Chief Judge Michael Malihi. Lawyers for David Weldon, a citizen living in Georgia, told Judge Malihi that Obama should be found in contempt of court for not appearing when under subpoena to do so."

"Do people not realize that every belief system, religious or not, is based on assumptions? Scientific theories are built off an assumption as well. Even cause and effect is an assumption that we take as real. So, when I read someone saying negative things about religion and how it's false, look in the mirror and be honest with yourself. You and your beliefs are no different."

"I'm stuck in this godforsaken town, with no job prospects for a highly qualified teacher, my house tanked in less than a year and the Tribune is bragging about increased tourism through Gateway Airport to our north, while Queen Creek, just a few miles away, sits on its hands and let's all the money and jobs slip through their fingers. We need hotels, theaters, restaurants, a walking downtown, an identity and quickly, to attract the tourism here. But the government is paralyzed by all the dirt lots they are surrounded by. Let's fast track this now, I need a job. Shame On you!"

"The Republicans have done it again. Why do we need to pipe gas from Canada to Texas for refineries? Wouldn't it be better to build the refineries in North Dakota or Montana - where heating oil is needed? There are surely American truckers who would enjoy having jobs trucking the excess around the country as they do now, anyway. Can it be that Big Oil and Big Money in Texas have a hand in this? Will it be easier to ship the refined product to other countries if it is near the Texas ports?"
