Had you argued that with the fall of the Warsaw Pack and the Soviet Union, NATO had outlived its usefulness, you might have had a point. But by saying "NATO has never served any useful purpose" you expose your profound ignorance.

I suppose CNN wants an international flavor. They have Fareed Zakaria and Christiana Anampour. I watch Al Jazeera and Mosaic on LINK-TV. Getting an international perspective on things helps one balance the media bias, wouldn't you agree?

Bush in bed with big oil? Let's see. Cheney was a oil services CEO, Conny Rice was on an oil company board. Bush was closely associated with Texas oil. When Saudi princes came to visit Bush, they stayed with him in Texas on the ranch. Yes, "W" was in bed with big oil. But Obama? See a shrink. You've lost it.

Guess I must have missed some news! Is the Goldwater Institute being closed down? Not Neo-con enough?

Don't quite agree. Nominating a Trump-Busey ticket would insure a second term for President Obama. And the best Republican seems to be waiting in the wings for 2016. Unless Huntsman can be nudged into running in 2012, a Trump-Busey ticket and an Obama 2nd term might be best.
Eighth Venter:
I agree with your assessment but not the logic leading to it. Trump would be a far better candidate that "W" proved to have been. And McCain was a close second. That is why we have Obama as president.
