I happened upon your Sept. 2, 2012 issue of East Valley Tribune Sunday. Thank you for the laugh! Really. “Is Tea Party Losing Influence” is the lead story?
I guess we now fully understand why The East Valley Tribune and more so, the Arizona Republic and your other friends in print media, have truly lost influence. I am actually sad to see the East Valley Tribune lose influence as it has over the past five years; but I haven’t shed a tear about the rest of the liberal media.
This thing should be more appropriately called The East Valley Sunday Pamphlet.
Please report the news and do not try to create the news and you will enjoy increased readership.

YOU WILL NEVER SEE A "TEA PARTY" MEMBER DRAGGING THE STAR-SPANGLED BANNER DOWN THE STREET AT THE CAPITAL MALL AND THEN SPRAY-PAINTING IT WITH "ANTI-AMERICAN" GRAFFITI AND PUTTING A "TOILET SEAT COVER" ON IT.

Tea-partyers are peaceful.
Occupiers urinate on police cars (among other despicable and disgusting acts).
Tea-partiers clean up after themselves.
Occupiers do not; they've left messes bigger than a park after a major party.
Tea-partiers sing songs, like the national anthem and say the Pledge of Allegience.
Occupiers have speakers who yell and scream at the top of their lungs.

Hmmm, let's see would I rather have a daughter date a Tea Party member or Occupier. Boy that is a toughy. I am not sure what coverage was displayed for the rest, but the Tea Party people look like salt of the earth midwesterners and the Occupiers look like homeless people or dropouts.

The Tea Party has 3 core values.
1. Fiscal responsibility.
2. Constitutionally limited government.
3. Free market enterprise.
To bad the liberal/progressives can't get behind these values. Instead the are for bigger government, higher deficit spending, higher taxes, control of the free market system, more people on social welfare programs, unrestricted abortions, elimination of God and the every present "social justice"(except for rich white people).

Keep on dreaming. The tea party (not really worthy of capitol letters} is a sick remnant of the Pearce/Western/ radical Rovers grab for power.
