“I read Mike McClellan’s commentary in Wednesday’s Trib. It sounds like Gilbert is becoming another Colorado City. Christians take heed.”

“To my right-wing friend: My house and credit cards are all paid off, job’s good and 401(k) went up a lot after bottoming out during the Bush years. Last three years have been very good for me because I am not a bitter, angry person like you.”

“At the RNC last week, Clint Eastwood used an empty chair to represent Obama, but after hearing Obama’s speech at the DNC last night, it would have been more appropriate for Mr. Eastwood to have put an empty suit in the empty chair to represent Obama!”

“Clinton, a man who lied under oath, stood before America telling us to ignore the facts and believe him when he says we are better off now then we were four years ago. So, does that mean all those Americans didn’t loose their homes or jobs and the debt decreased instead? His dream is our nightmare!”

“Democrats booed ‘God’ at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte Wednesday. But, despite all of the prolonged boos uttered, Democrats pulled a surprising about face – by amending their party platform into the party’s 2008 language – by acknowledging ‘God’ and declaring Jerusalem the capital of Israel.”

“So far, 0.000063 percent of the country’s population – 196 super wealthy people – have given more than 80 percent of the super-PAC money spent in the presidential election. Senate Republicans blocked a bill that would require outside political groups to disclose the names and contributions of campaign donors who give more than $10,000. Two separate disclosure acts received unanimous support from a majority of Democrats, but failed to muster the 60 votes necessary. Republicans were for transparency before they were against it. For years, it was GOP lawmakers calling for disclosure rules but they’ve conveniently changed their mind.”

“No wonder the DNC wanted to strike God from its platform. With all that lying going on, who wants God around?”

“Bill Clinton has in the past admitted to lying under oath for political gain. Why would I put stock in anything an admitted liar has to say, now? He is the biggest reason among many, I dropped out of the Democratic Party.”

“Holy See seems to be an unholy nest of conspiracies, backstabbing and ambition. ‘Vatileaks,’ as the scandal has been dubbed, has smashed the Vatican’s code of silence to reveal a long-standing tradition of bitter rivalries and corruption. How did the Vatican react? They hired Fox News, experts on twisting the facts, as communications adviser to handle the damage control.”

VENT # 5: “Democrats booed ‘God’ at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte…”

The Democratic party is full of atheists and secular Liberals who do not want to say that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. But even worse they booed “God” and did not want “God” in the Democrat’s party platform as it had appeared in the 2008 party. Passionate Americans were angered by the omission of God from the Democrat’s party platform, and the last second changes just make the Jerusalem-God controversy issues worse.

Democrats want to make the story go away . . . But the problem is it’s not going away.

Vent #4: Those people didn't "loose" their houses, they did lose them.
You can lose something that is loose, so tighten the loose item so you don't lose it.

    Vent #1: An anti-Mormon rant.

Vent #2: To my left-wing friend: Glad to hear you have not been subjected to the recession and that your are doing better over the last four years. Much unlike the rest of the nation that has been subjected to the failed policies of our present Campaigner-in-Chief.

Vent #3: Not just an empty suit. Empty everything like promises, policies, spending, goals, leadership....

Vent #4: A democrat misspeaks or lies it's laughter, yawns and a free pass all around. If a republican misspeaks the liberals and MSM go berserk. Even when a republican acknowledges their misspoken words and apologizes there is still no forgiveness. Bill Clinton, a confessed liar, gets put upon the alter right next to Obama.

Vent #5: So you are complaining about the donors and money while you have the figures and donor list all along. So why do we need a law? If you have this information please share it with us or let us know where to get this information.

Vent #6: It was funny watching the godless, liberal, progressive, anti-Israeli, pro-Palestinian Democrat party squirm in it's own hypocrisy.

Vent #7: Bill Clinton, a confessed liar and accused rapist, is put upon the alter of greatness by the liberal/progressive democrat party. Bill Clinton who disgraced the office of the Presidency more than anyone in history. A president that had sex, in our house, with an intern which would have gotten any other person fired. A president that punkiskly handed out cigars that were coated with her bodily fluids. A president that suppressed accusations of rape and cronyism. A president impeached. A president that lied under oath before Congress.

Vent #8: Wrong!! Vatican hired a former Fox News employee. Although the Vatican deserves all the scrutiny and investigation it should get.

No one booed any gods. Gods are myths, grow up people!

What they booed was watching the democratic vote NULLIFIED on live TV.

That was disgusting...and made me glad I'm not a Democrat. Bunch of sellouts.

The Democratic platform to the party's 2008 language said. “We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”

But, at the recent Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, the Democratic Party had removed any mention of “God” in its platform. It had also removed any mention of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

After a personal request from President Obama, a vote was called for to re-install God into the platform by the chairman, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Three times in fact. Democrat delegates at the DNC Convention booed each time.

On the 3rd vote, Villaigosa ruled that the “Ayes” had won—by a two-thirds majority. The Democrats reinstated God and Jerusalem to their party platform by a ruse and a violation of their own rules and procedural voting.

Accuracy - let me make sure I understand your position.

You're okay with ruses and rules and laws being violated to put religion into our government (please see Pledge of Allegiance and our paper currency), but have a problem when the DNC does it?

Why the inconsistency? You are either for or against such immoral behavior...switching back and forth does not seem rational to many, myself included.

Engaged Voter.... In answer to you questions.

Concerning the Democrats inconsistence and publicly embarrassing position.

It was the Democrats, at the DNC convention, that had to break their own rules to reinsert God and insert a "mention" of Jerusalem into their platform. They then broke their own rules again by ignoring three obviously insufficient voice votes to the contrary to add the word "Jerusalem" by arbitrary decree of the flummoxed convention chairman.
