Now, if you could just get your reporters to report the facts and keep their opinions out of their reporting, it would be great.

I subscribed to your paper until I was told it would no longer be delivered to my zip code. Good decision.

"As for dirty political games, attack-rhetoric and lack of civility, the perpetrators of that kind of politics will not have much sympathy from the Tribune."

Does this mean you will terminate reporters who are guilty of these tactics?

*waits eagerly for this year's attack ads*

Just as Fox News claims to be " fair and balanced " while it is neither fair nor balanced ... the EVT wants to pretend to be non-partisan while publishing articles by ultra-right wing political operatives in the featured space.

    Day after day.

No political motives here, folks, just read drink the Kool - Aid and don't bother thinking. The EVT will do that for you.

    Lol...Down Willie...Down Boy......

Let's hope that Mr. Horne's reporters (Howie Fischer included) can live up to this Commentary's statements; "Reporters will do their best to do the story right down the middle and not take sides with a candidate or a party".

Shouldn't you, Sir, as the Editor, expect...no demand that your Reporters (you pay their salaries or stipends) follow Universal Journalistic Ethics = the facts, nothing but the facts.

Oh, and Mr. Horne, could you give your Photograpic Department a little ..."noogie" and tell them to quit putting biased photographs with the accompaning articles. I think that all the readers of the East Valley Tribune have already seen all of Governor Jan Brewers dental flaws, her wind-blown hair and her pursed lips over and over and over again in your Newspaper. The same goes for Rick Adams, Russell Pearce, Sheriff Paul Babeu and Sheriff Joe Arpaio and every other one of Arizona's Tea Party or Republican dignitaries.

Using an "ugly" photograph of a politician or SB 1070 enforcing Sheriff is really a ...."cheap shot". Can we expect to see a "smiling" Jan Brewer, a smiling Russell Pearce or a smiling Joe Arpaio in the near future, Mr. Editor.

If you want proof, Sir, just go back and look at the "glamour shots" of Bishop Lewis vs Russel Pearce in the past Mesa District Re-Call Election. Russell Pearce photographs resemble "Bella Lagosi" while Bishop Lewis looks like something from "GQ Magazine".

I guess the word of a newspaper editor doesn't count for much these days :
