"Have you seen the 9/11 memorial in Gilbert? It's nice, nice, nice! Well, I'm proud of Mesa, where we have 190 park benches downtown and are getting heat strips poured along all SRP canals."

"The problem with eliminating tax loopholes, subsidies, reclassifying fund manager's income and depreciation on corporate jets (just to list a few) is that Congress will look at this as ‘new' money and spend it not on lowering the national debt but on their pet projects to get themselves re-elected."

"Many of us were delighted to read Linda Turley-Hansen's commentary on Sept. 11. She always tells it like it is. How anybody, no matter how liberal they are, can still think Obama is right for the office of president of this country is past belief. Remember Cuba didn't think Castro was dangerous either. Thank you Linda!"

"The federal government was unable to properly oversee one loan when Solyndra's own accountants were telling them the company was on the verge of failure. How do they expect to oversee thousands of loans through the Dodd-Frank Act? Most of the supposed Wall Street reform portion of Dodd Frank is redundant anyway. Repeal it now. All it does is require lenders take the money they have to loan and redirect it pay for additional compliance personnel."

"For your information, Wednesday Venter, Paul Simon and James Taylor are musical legends who will continue to influence and inspire musicians and artists long after their days on this earth are over. Paul Simon - New York native son - gave the most deeply moving rendition of ‘Sounds of Silence' ever, and brought the entire 9/11 Remembrance to its most poignant moment ... no small feat for such a profoundly emotional ceremony."

Linda Turley-Hansen's commentary “Ten years later, we remain under attack” was in the Sunday East Valley Tribune, and she recognized 9/11 through the disasters and triumphs. She wrote; “Since that day, we've fought on other shores. And, now we fight here, currently using weapons provided by our fore fathers, and pray they will be enough to prevent civil hate from turning a golden land into a war that overshadows 9/11.”
On September 11, 2011 – Americans across the nation took time to remember the events of 9/11 and how that day changed our lives and how it marked the greatest challenge our nation has faced in a generation. As Americans we must remember that we did not start this war, even though it marked the beginning of a decade of turmoil we are still experiencing.
Prayer played a huge role bringing Americans together in the days following 9/11, as hundreds of thousands of Americans turned to God in prayer following that horrific attack. And U.S. Congressmen spontaneously sang “God Bless America” on the steps of the Capitol building in Washington D.C.
It is crucial that we take a stand for the families of those who lost loved ones and for the survivors who risked their lives that tragic day, who have been ministered to over the years by their faith and the prayers of thousands of Americans.
