We would like to encourage everyone of our cities in Arizona to save all consumers money and our planet by adopting more efficient building energy codes. Many cities currently have old 2006 or 2009 build codes in place. The new 2012 standards are 33 percent more efficient so they save you lots of money over the years and reduced energy saves our environment. The Sierra Club and SWEEP both endorse these standards.
I live in Chandler, which has been a leader in this area. Chandler continues to lead the area and save money and our environment for many years in the future. The payback is less than three years in dollars and is priceless to our children and the future. What greater gift can we give at this time of year?

Jim,
For those of us living in pre-2006 housing, is there hope and decent pay-back for retrofitting? Please tell us more, much more! A 650 word article seems appropriate.
