... And then there is the one about the garage sale; all items have been previously owned and significantly discounted. That is except for automobile signal lights which are being offered at full price because motorist never used them.

Avid and not so avid cyclists know the horror they experience each and every time they are in an existing bike lane and rapidly approaching a green lighted intersection only to have a vehicle on their left make an unannounced right turn inches in front of them. So many collisions could be avoided and many lives saved if motorist used their turn signals.

Turn signals? How do you expect people to text, drink, put on make-up, and listen to the talking lady navigate and still use turn signals?
People, please use your turn signals. It's free!

No no no ... it is against conservative principals to use turn signals.

    1) I'ts nobody's business where they are going

    2) There is nothing in the Constitution that requires the use of turn signals

    3) Using the turn signals wears out the light bulbs and they they have to bear the expense of replacing them. And that clicking relay wears out too and they have to pay for that also. They have to pay for these things which other people benefit from and they don't re-imburse the car owner. People watching my turn signals benefit at my expense --- they are leeches.

    4) My car is bigger and more powerful than bicycles so therefore I RULE. I'm #1 get out of my way.

As usual the "WILLIE" (could a fake name be more apropos.......lol)........leads the "Lefties" with his Comment.

The Democrats have made a "CIRCUS"...of our Laws, our Reputation (is there anything that Obama "hasn't" apologized to the World for ???), our Military (June is now the Official Gay/Lesbian/Transgender/Transexual/Cross-Dress Month for all of the Armed Forces).............so what do all Circuses have ...........you got it......[wink]

Good comment Willie. I enjoy your humor. California leon is just jealous because he can’t even fake one. California leon does keep track of dates that are important to him though, as he mentioned. Part of that obsessive-compulsive closet thing.

Roman Catholic biship Lugo, 61, renounced the priesthood in 2006. Since his 2008 election, four women have alleged that he fathered children while a priest: he acknowledged paternity of one, a 3 year-old boy, in 2009.

New York Archdicocese spokesman did not dispute the payments which were revealed by the advocacy Survivors Network of the Abused by Priest.

Leon, President Obama can't get anything right, The Republicans are even complaining Obama is killing to many al Qaeda terrorist top leaders using drone planes, I guess the Republicans would rather send thousands of U.S. troops to battle to return with horrid injuries and thousands of deaths the Good Old Republican way of war, this is how the defense contractors want wars fought, more profits this way.

    Ahmad,

Allow me to appologize for truth and Leon. They must think turn signals have something to do with Roman Catholic priest fatherhood and drone attacks. I suppose neither priests nor drones signal they next moves.

“Drivers, use your signals” . . . Does that include Ahmad Daniels in Phoenix?

Out of all the drivers on the roads today, teenagers have the highest collision rate of any group. And the National Transportation Safety Board says distracted driving MUST STOP. The federal agency has called for states to get tough with their laws and ban all cell phone use, including texting, e-mailing, Twitter or chatting while driving.

But, Ahmad Daniels does have a point about drivers failing to use turn signals.

More than half of teenage drivers in the United States still send text messages (or messages on Twitter) while behind the wheel, according to a recent study by the Centers for Disease Control. Currently, texting and driving is illegal in 39 states for all age groups. Five other states ban it for teenage drivers.

Sending text messages (or Twitter) while driving? – Here are some warning signs that many drivers may be slipping:

    1) Close calls with other vehicles or stationary objects.

    2) Lane drifting.

    3) Trouble reading signs and staying focused.

    4) Missing exits or turns.

    5) Failing to use signals.

I believe it would not be too difficult to equip a vehicle with a device that would prevent cellphones from being used while the vehicle is in motion.

If possible ( I'm pretty sure it is ) all new vehicles should be required to come with the device standard and fixed so it can't be turned off or removed.

Including the built in voice activated cellphones most companies put in cars now.

If you need to make a call or a text or a tweet that badly --- pull over off the road and stop and make your call.

Anyone in an accident who is using a cellphone should be prosecuted for attempted murder and murder if someone dies in the accident.

Actually I think cellphones should be outlawed. Life happened just fine before they put those things on the market. Now people are expected to be available to their work 24 hours a day. Boss can call them no matter they hour without regard for where they are or what they are doing.

I see bike riders ignore the law and ride off the sidewalk into a crosswalk several times a day! Moronic! It's a wonder more accidents don't occur.
