About Care held its inaugural holiday event: a wine-tasting and art auction held Dec. 8 at the amazing Vision Gallery located in the new City of Chandler building. It was a wonderful event honoring those who volunteer for About Care and also those who have served our nation and now need our help.

About Care would like to thank Dr. Camille Casteel, (superintendent) with the Chandler Unified School District, for assisting in getting donated art from all four Chandler High Schools. Thank you very much to the heads of the art departments and students at Basha, Chandler, Hamilton and Perry high schools. The donations were wonderful and very generous to support our elderly and disabled neighbors in Chandler and Gilbert.

Also, About Care would like to thank the Chandler-Gilbert Community College for its wonderful donations of art! All the pieces were auctioned off and the funds used to help our homebound neighbors. It was nice to see the young residents of Chandler and Gilbert contribute to the assistance of our elderly and disabled homebound!

About Care is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving the Chandler and Gilbert areas. About Care's Mission is to deliver caring, compassionate support services using trained volunteers. About Care was created in 2005 because of the need to assist the elderly and disabled residents with services that enables them to remain in their home, live with self-respect and dignity while encouraging independence. For those of you who haven't visited the "Vision Galery" do so soon. And then take a short walk north and see the galery at The Center for the Arts, too.
