In a most peculiar attack launched by Mitt Romney against President Obama, Romney accused Obama of being at Harvard too long. Apparently, Mitt meant to show that Barack Obama is out of touch with mainstream Americans. But wait! Isn’t Mitt also a Harvard alum?

The last thing Mitt should be doing is holding his pedigree up against Obama’s. President Obama did not come up from wealth to get into Harvard, and it only took him three years to earn the top post in Harvard Law. Mitt is a child of that monied club which turns its collective nose up at students like Obama. Wealth and privilege got Mitt to the Ivy League. Grit got Obama to the same place, and he did it in three years to Mitt’s four. Fortunately for the entire nation, Mitt Romney won’t get his foot out of his mouth until mid November.
