“The prognosticators and the media predict gas prices north of $5 a gallon and/or war with Iran by next year if the Iranians close the Strait of Hormuz. Yet our so-called government of the people drag their feet on a Canadian pipeline which would do away with our dependence on Middle Eastern oil, create a surge in employment in this country and lower the price of gas at the pump both now and in the future.”

“The proposed Canadian pipeline and shale oil are being decried as if they are actual eco-disasters. I look to the Alaskan pipeline disaster and have to ask, ‘huh?’ ”

“So, the county has made this weekend ‘no-burn’. Does that include fireworks? They can put off as much smoke as a fireplace.”

“My grade for Jon Beydler’s brain: D minus. The only reason you don’t get an ‘F’ is because you were ‘right’ about our debt continuing to rise (which is kind of a no-brainer).”

“If the various factions in Iraq are gearing up to go after each other, there’s probably not much we in the U.S. can do about it. Think about it — insurgents there stopped attacking coalition troops a long time ago. (That’s why the ‘surge’ worked, by the way). They’ve been attacking civilians (church/religious festival bombings, etc.). It’s better that our troops aren’t there to get caught in the crossfire.”

“My hope for the new year is to have fewer Sheeple and Rinos in this country. People, do not follow blindly the liberal media, use  your intelligence and make up your own mind!”

“Funny how Bill Maher respects all religions but Christianity. (Look at his actions not his claims). You can tell how much a true phony he is.”

“Wow, have you folks looked up HBO host Bill Maher’s tweet about the Bronco’s Quarterback, Tim Tebow’s Christian beliefs? If a Republican or conservative ever tweeted something as profane and disgusting as that about the Holocaust, gays or blacks, CNN’S Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, all of MSNBC, 60-Minutes, Frontline, 20/20, every liberal-progressive TV commentator (Fahreed Zakaria, etc) would be screaming bloody-murder.”

First Venter: Your dead wrong. Crude oil is a fungible good. And where the Strait of Hormuz is the main passage way through which oil from Iran, Iraq and Saudia Arabia must pass, using Canadian crude to supply the US does not supply the rest of the world. So prices will rise regardless of Canadian Crude. All we need do now is refine those dirty Canadian oil sands to gasoline and diesel up there in Canada and use the existing pipelines to suppy the Midwest.

Second Venter: Canada is not short on water. The Mid West is. Crude oil pipeline leaks contaiminate freshwater and those freshwater aquifers do not get restored. Let's relocate the pipeline away from the aquifer and do more refining up north.

Third Venter: I doubt it includes fireworks. But you can call County Airquality and ask.

Fourth Venter: I give Jon an A-. I'll give you the D-.

Fifth Venter: Yes, finally we are done with Iraq. Should never have gone there in the first place.

Sixth Venter: I agree with your advice. We all need to make up our own minds. The problem with making up our own minds is that far too many of us only listen to or read information from one source. And thanks to Citizens United, increasingly that source is owned by the 1%.

Seventh Venter: I haven't notices Bill respecting any religion. Did I miss something?

Eighth Venter: Fareed Zakaria? How is it that you classify him as Liberal? Oh, I know. He's not on Faux News, right!

Ninth Venter: Is there an echo in here?

First Venter, your right about the pipeline, the only reason it's not being built is because the President is appeasing his far left environmental wackos.

Fourth Venter, I would give Jon a C, just because he gives us a good look into the minds of the far Left, and that is good for a laugh.

Sixth Venter, We can only hope there is still enough people left that want to do what is right for ALL, not just what gives them the most freebies !

Seventh & Eighth Venters, Apparently you too have noticed and are tired of the double standard the Liberal media has. Perhaps that is why FOX News has more viewers then CNN and MSNBS have combined.

First Venter again, I don't believe this was listed accidentally again, I believe the Editorial staff is pointing out the fact that at a time we need jobs bad, and our President is playing political chicken with them to appease his lefty supporters !

1st and 9th venters --- wonder why they published the same thing twice? hmmm

Anyway ... the pipeline will NOT help American gasoline prices.

Just like the oil from the Alaska pipeline is being sold to Japan, the proposed pipeline ends in Port Arthur, Texas where it will be loaded on tankers and sold worldwide.

So called American oil companies have NO interest in America except selling us their products. They have NO LOYALTY.

They sell to the highest bidder on the world market.

They sold the Amercan people a bill of goods on the Alaskan pipeline, making them think the oil would be used for gasoline for Americans.

    THEY LIED

    Oh what a surprise.

And they are doing the same thing for this pipeline.

I am no opposed to the pipeline on environmental grounds. I'm opposed because the oil will NOT stay here in the U.S. A.

Studies have shown that Faux News watchers are the most uninformed and misinformed of all news watchers.

I think its time to take Faux News off the air by complaining to the FCC because of the lies and misinformation that they distribute as the propaganda arm of the GOP.

Hermann Goebbels would have been envious of this distribution of disinformation, because NAZIsm and extremist nationalism are right wing ideologies.

"Studies have show...."..come on now....Sgt. Joe Friday would be rolling his eyes heavenward at the statement..."the facts Ma'am, just the facts". Tell the reader what "studies", when were they conducted and by whom.

As for historical figures....Karl Marx, Leon Trotsky and Bobby Jones would feel right at home in the White House with our ..."Manchurian Candidate" President and his "fashion-ista" wife.

@ cacrobert, You should be careful about comparing the Right to Nazi's. You Liberals are the one's suggesting the government shut down certain media that has an opposing view point to yours, and the Nazi party grew out of the German Socialist Party. The Socialist are the one's that believe in redistribution of wealth. OOPS, that sounds more like modern Left Wing ideology !

This forum is for the birds. Any half-wit with a sub-par education can post here with no accountability. On top of that, I'm surprised the well-informed here would lower their standards by entertaining these ridiculus vents. Com' on folks----use some discretion, vents are for fools.
