It is disappointing to see that the Diocese of Phoenix is dragging their feet on the Rev. Spaulding case. The fact that their own investigation deemed the accusations against him credible should be more than enough to immediately remove him from the priesthood. Instead, the Diocese and the Vatican are churning out miles of red tape. Why? To prolong the investigation as long as possible so that they can quietly remove him and hope that people will have forgotten about it by the time they complete their "trial?" While we cannot know for sure, it certainly seems like the Diocese is taking as long a road as possible in this case.

What concerns me is the total "hands-off" of the Mesa Police, the Scottsdale Police, the Phoenix Police and the Maricopa County Attorney in this matter.
If the Catholic Church has concluded that there are credible accusations of child abuse then where is ......."OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY" ???

How well do you know yourself. ? I for one have been trying to find out what on earth led me to blindly follow the RCC and it's tenents and traditions and not the good logical mind that God gave me. It has taken almost 60 yrs to get it. In 2001 We finally "got it" and Left !
Fr. Jack Spaulding was our pastor at St. Maria Goretti for about 10 yrs and I liked him. After having found out in 2002 that we had 5 pedophiles in our church I never suspectd that he too would be one.
My husband was in the men's club at SMG when Fr. Jack asked them to buy a hot-tub for the rectory. They did . and now we find out that's where most of the sexual "hanky-panky" went on. Lovely!
Why is Fr. Jack kicked out of th church and still a priest?? I don't get it. I hear he is in South America(from a worthy source) with his cohort Fr. Loren Riebe(also thrown out of Mex.) when he was found to be sexually abusing his orphans at the orphanage that he ran in Chiapas and we at SMG donated to for years.
They are together. They had money to buy their own orphanage(probably taken from parishioners) so they get their cake and eat it too and the children get sexually abused by 2 priests. What a wonderful Roman Catholic Church we have in this world.
What in God;'s name is wrong with the people in the PEWS when the RCC Hierarchy does nothing but scr-w the people. . Why don't they wake up and DO SOMETHING??
