Holy cow, what is going on at the Arizona Legislature: Bill aims to censor teachers' speech? For years now our legislators have been micromanaging everything that goes on in our state: micromanaging its citizens, micromanaging the cities, micromanaging the schools and universities, micromanaging law enforcement. Now they want to control what teachers can and cannot say in and around the classroom. Isn't that what we have school boards and principals for? Somebody complains or gripes and we get another bill, another law? Don't we have enough laws already? Isn't Arizona supposed to be a conservative bastion? Conservative in social norms, fiscally conservative, limited government? After 100 years, can't Arizona citizens be trusted to do anything right? I guess not.

"Micro-managing" teacher's speech....have you even read the University of Arizona-Tucson Unified School District's Ethnic Studies/La Raza curiculum ???

Avowed Communist Lecturers were "imported" by the University of Arizona Department of Ethnic Studies to give teachers ..."talking points" and "class discussion agenda" at Summer Symposiums held at U of A. Socilialist professors from Universities and Colleges in the Chicago and Wisconsin area gave lectures to ....Tucson, Phoenix and Flagstaff High School Ethnic Studies teachers.
Don't believe me...go into your computer and then Yahoo and Google "search" and find out what the discussion is really about. Liberalism is one thing.....out and out Communism and Socialism being taught to teenage Hispanic, Black and Native American students.......................IS SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY.
THIS IS STILL AMERICA AND AMERICAN VALUES MUST BE TAUGHT TO OUR IMPRESSIONABLE TEENAGE RACIAL AND ETHNIC STUDENTS. THIS IS WHAT AMERICA'S HARD WORKING TAX-PAYERS DEMAND FROM THEIR "OUT-OF-POCKET" TAXES............NOT TURNING THESE STUDENTS INTO.........HOME-GROWN "HATE WHITEY...HATE AMERICA"....TERRORISTS.

Unfortunately, our education system has been overrun by socialists with an anti America agenda. We now find ourselves in the unenviable position of trying to muzzle their anti America agenda. We want these people to teach American values and not anti American values.

It takes about a dozen laws to organize a society, maybe less if well made. When people have to meet every year to pass more, micromanagement is too expansive a term. They aren't making law, everybody breaks a couple dozen of those daily, they are irrelevant. It's a component of the anarchy we're headed at. They're making money, nothing more.

You've struck gold here! If we somehow could take the money out of politics, perhaps that move and not a Tea Party lead move toward constitutionalism would be the answer. But don't expect neo-cons to understand this. It was money going into politics which created the various Tea Party movements.

samkat: It's true that Dale DID state that. Then I google pictures for Tea Party events, and speakers. It was QUITE EASY to find members that were not "white".
And, of course, Dale didn't bother to admit he was WRONG.
